It would help mine. As a victim I believe there should NOT be any statute of limitations on child abuse. I hope I live to see that.
Everyone needs to teach their preteens that touching children for sexual pleasure will truly end their chances of a good life, even at 14. Teach your children to be GOOD PEOPLE. That is more important than a lot of the stuff the Duggars were teaching.

Well, the state of television in general alternately bores and disgusts me. I don’t like all the shows with stilted acting. Waiting 3 seconds after each line for the audience to react before delivering the next line seems to have become the norm for some types of shows.
And I particularly don’t like all the sexual it spewed out even in commercials. So many shows portray bed hopping as a normal pass time with never a negative consequence.
I went into the military straight out of high school. I never had time for nor bought a television until 1990 when my wife was pregnant. I got rid of the damned thing in March of 1995.
So I would never considere parading the lives of anyone I know on the idiot box. Even people who I don’t like.
Television is that annoying thing on the wall when I go to a restaurant.
I will interested in what they have to say...sad situation all way around...

Exactly Spunky! Just like I could not forgive the Adult who molested me because he was an adult and I notice he was still a jerk. Unlike my Teenager male and female cousins, I saw them grow into a very mature adults not the jerks they were back then. I was able to let go and forgive them.
Also Josh and his sisters were apart for 2 months, me only 1 week. We would go visit my uncle and aunt every weekend. I dreaded visiting them because I knew I would be molested again.
You are right how often sibling incest occurs. Many people blame the Duggars for having so many children. That is hogwash! because a couple can have only 2 children and still be molested by the other sibling.
I agree children and even pre-teens are curious about sex and the human body. An adult - NO.
Many say Josh should be in prison - for what? to make the matters worse. I told my mom many years before she died that I am glad I did not tell her because I fear it would make matter worse. Let’s say my cousins go to jail or even Josh. What makes one think they won’t be molested in there making the matter worse.
Remember Charles Mason grew up with no adult telling him right from wrong. As a child he started his crime doing petty stuff, then his uncle showed him how to commit crimes. So Charlie spent growing up in detentions and jail with no counseling. How did that work out?
If a child or a teen commits a molestation, they is still a very strong chance to rehabilitate them. Once they are adults, it becomes more difficult.

If a Christian does something wrong and goes to prison, it doesn’t mean they aren’t still a Christian. Every Christian sins every day. Ever heard of Grace?
And plenty of prisoners repent and become Christians while in prison.

Doesn’t change the fact that they covered this up, pretended to extol Christian values on sexuality, and that “Jim Bob” advocated for the severe punishment of those who were involved in such behavior. Then, of course, the molester in question blamed his victims for his aberrant desires. These people are liars and creepy to boot. They won’t let their daughters kiss boys unrelated to them, but they let their son feel up on little girls. Sickening. They didn’t even get him the proper treatment. I do not believe one thing these people say. Even if Mr. Molester did repent, he should not be allowed near children even again.
The dude was 17. That is a mere 12 months from adulthood and there is no way he shouldn’t have known better. It’s not like he was a 6-year-old boy who didn’t understand sex. Any excuses made for him based on age is ludicrous.
