Quit wasting time
The Duggars are clearly revealing there is no shame today....why drag dirty laundry across a stage? Because it sells in todays world. Hollywood personage will always milk a story to whatever outcome....$$$$$$$...and everybody associated with this “show” now on stage will make money.
This has nothing to do with hearing their story or such nonsense....it’s a “show” and remains one being played out in the media as well.
The guys an admitted perp. ...which should have been the end of this story.
No excuses. If he is guilty of doing this and has not faced jail time....In this world he needs to be brought to justice. If he paid the price and did his time...he needs to be monitored. ANYONE defending his actions or making excuses for this nut is not a friend of mine...just the opposite.
I agree. They just cannot let this go. Now I read that they want to have a spin-off show with the two married daughters. So I guess they aren’t too worried about their privacy.
When you put up a big tent you cannot complain about the size of the circus. They have put themselves out there in the public eye and made a lot of money from presenting themselves as a moral example. The public has every right therefore to judge whether or not they are who they really are pretending to be.
I used to be a big fan of the show. I stopped watching a couple of years ago for reasons I’ll explain but I still thought that they shouldn’t be pushed off of the air because of their views. I even signed the petition to keep them on the air. I regret that now.
When the show started they lived a very simple life. You can see the transformation that the girls have made from their clothing to more stylish clothing. While they talk about de-frauding men by dressing a certain way they seem to have no problem now wearing makeup and false eyelashes. It is obvious in more recent photos.
They now wear jewelry which they did not before. I see nothing wrong with any of these things however they seem to say one thing and yet do another.
Another thing that bothered me is their concern for modesty yet the DIL puts every birth on national television. It may just be me but I don’t consider filming a birth of a child on a toilet modest. I was disgusted.
They put a weird emphasis on sex even having the cameras following Josh and his new wife right up to their hotel room door on the wedding night. So much for privacy. The entire kissing photographs on social media was strange also and gave me that feeling that I was invading someone’s very private moment. No concerns about privacy there either.
What finally was the last straw for me was what they did after the birth of the last child. The child was born prematurely and was in the hospital for quite some time. She now has a seizure condition.
Michelle decided that she still wanted to keep that brand going and have more children and put another baby at risk. Not only that, she gave birth prematurely because she had eclampsia. It puts her at a very high risk for death leaving behind all those other children. Then she goes to a fertility doctor.
Twice that we know of Michelle and Jim Bob left town and left the youngest in the care of their older sisters. Twice this baby has had a seizure during that period and it was serious enough to require transport to the ER.
Babysitting occasionally for a sibling is one thing. To put your older daughters in that type of position with that responsibility is just cruel and selfish as far as I am concerned. The daughters were clearly distressed and if that baby had died in their care they would have felt that responsibility for the rest of their lives.The parents did not rush home to take over this responsibility from their daughters. They stayed and finished their business.
All of these things led me to not want to watch the show any longer but I believed that they should not be cancelled just because they didn’t believe in gay marriage and lobbied for family values.
The molestation changed all of that. TLC took Honey Boo Boo off the air because the mother was dating a man who molested her daughter. The Duggars kept this molestor living in their home with their daughters for years. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
They don’t have a “right” to a tv show. Their show is at the mercy of advertisers and the public’s whims. There are consequences to your actions regardless of any implied forgiveness from God. I read somewhere recently that you can’t use God as a “get out of jail free card”. While God may forgive you (we cannot know whether or not Josh was sincere) the public does not have to and what Josh did was a crime not only against his sisters but society. Whether or not he received forgiveness from God is of no consequence to us. Whether or not his sister’s forgave him is of no consequence to the rest of us either. How is a minor able to forgive for something like that? They don’t even have the full capacity to understand what happened to them and I doubt that the girls had any choice but to forgive Josh.
While we cannot have a legal consequences at this time there surely are other consequences that go along with this and the Duggars are seeing that now. This is their own doing and it’s time for them to retreat from public life and let this go. Stay home and concentrate on the problems in their own family and their relationship with God. They don’t need a tv show to do this. They have made enough money to last a lifetime off of this show. What more do they want? The public owes them nothing.Continuing with this is just subjecting their daughters to more pain. You can’t ask for privacy for your daughters while promoting a spin off show for them to continue to film their childbirths!
After all, I’m sure there is at least one book deal in this for them.

Interesting about the hair. I often wondered why they all had the same curly perm hairdo. Now I know.
I never knew of the show until this thread.......I am not into reality TV which this sounds like.
But anyone involved in Hollywood is there to make money and find fame of one sort or another.
This family sounds no different then the Osborn’s when they had their family show....just another family airing what should otherwise be private.
OK, the Little Couple are IMHO creepy. And I generally enjoy watching shows about little people. But Dr. Mom is weird. She doesn’t seem natural with her children at all. The boy is almost as big as she is and is only about 5. Dad’s okay.
OK, I didn’t watch it a lot but I do remember an episode about their new house. I’m thinking that the boys rooms had a separate staircase than the girls. In the south, antebellum, boys were always housed in what was almost a separate building with a separate staircase.
Well not every one is going to like the same thing.I never got any creepy vibes from them though. I thought they were a lot like normal couples so maybe I’m creepy too? Hmmm...
What I like about the show is that there is not the usual TLC trashy stuff. These seem to be nice normal people.There isn’t a lot to choose from in that category:( That is why we dumped cable. There wasn’t much of anything we felt was worth watching.
