Herman Cain mocks Santorum's 'doomed presidential bid'
Politico ^ | 05/28/2015 | Adam Lerner

Posted on 05/28/2015 11:54:11 AM PDT by GIdget2004

Failed Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain decried former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) for entering a presidential race he is unlikely to win.

The former Godfather’s Pizza CEO tweeted about Santorum’s “doomed presidential bid” and lobbed another bomb at ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, mocking Santorum for making his announcement in an interview with the “pretend journalist.”

(Stephanopolous’ standing among Republicans has fallen considerably since POLITICO reported that he had given $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation.)

The tweet linked to a blog post published by columnist Robert Laurie on the Cain TV website on Thursday, questioning “why every GOP throwback candidate feels they need to enter the race.”

“Does he bring anything to the table that hasn’t already been rejected? Nope,” the post said about Santorum. “Has he modified his message to appeal to a country that appears desperate for a true, small government, constitutionalist? Nope. Did he do anything in the years since 2008 that would give you a new reason to vote for him? Nope.”

Herb why not just bash the democrat, instead of dishing it on Santo? Just sayin. Santo is going nowhere.

Let Santo use the 2016 GOP Presidential process to extend his career over the next 4 years, talking on TV, making speeches, selling books. Almost everybody else is doing it, too.

Et tu, Herb.

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/pj-gladnick/2015/05/14/politico-washington-free-beacon-broke-stephanopoulos-clinton-foundation

So how did Politico break the George Stephanopoulos Clinton Foundation donations story? Actually they didn’t break it at all. The story was shopped to Politico after the Washington Free Beacon made inquiries to ABC News about Stephanopoulos’ contributions to the Clinton Foundation. Apparently ABC News thought Politico would offer more favorable coverage so they leaked the story to Politico...

Santorum is just another spoiler - one more “conservative” to divide the vote and ensure a RINO wins the nomination.

I’m not a Santorum supporter but.... THE WOMANIZING WHORE MONGER, HERMAN CAIN..... has no right to mock anyone. He didn’t have the guts to face his accusers because he knew he was guilty as hell. He ran and hid behind God and his wife. FUHC.

This whole election is a farce. I half expect Elmo to announce next. This just divides the vote even more.

Yeah. The term ‘Conservative’ has been hijacked by establishment republicans such as Rick Sanitarium, unfortunately.

Santorum is a “Republican Villain” straight from central casting. Even if he were popular, nominating him would be a image disaster for the party.

I agree. Every word out of the Republicans' mouths should be a criticism of liberals or a promotion of conservatism.

I wonder if Santorum is going to make sure he qualifies for his home state VA primary this time? The race could have been far different had he been on the VA ballot, just wondering.

What standing was that?

At some time in the very near future (like tomorrow) Conservatives or conservative wanna-bees are going to have to take off the gloves of Political Correctness and use street language to take the Marxists down. Call them what they are. Point out their destructive influence on our nation and call a “Spade a Spade” wherever necessary. Back in the early days of the Republic congresscritters did not shrink from the use of vitriol either in the Capitol or on the street. Punches, both verbal and physical were thrown by men of courage and commitment. Until that happens again the Marxists tactics will prevail. At some point the Republic will become unrecoverable.

Yeah, the pot/kettle comment is especially funny in this case...

And I’m sure Herman would find it humorous as well.

“Stephanopolous’ standing among Republicans has fallen considerably since POLITICO reported that he had given $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation”

Ha!

That wrongly presupposes he had standing that could fall.

I supported him last time and agree with you 100%. The vote is SO diluted you can take it to the bank it will be Jeb ... maybe in a split Convention with a little bone thrown to Conservatives for the utterly useless VP spot.
