San Antonio man caught up in Waco melee has lost his job at USAA

A San Antonio man has lost his job because he’s unable to post bail after he was arrested in the aftermath of the biker melee in Waco.

Diego N. Obledo, 40, doesn’t have a motorcycle but was arrested after driving friends in his Toyota Venza to the Twin Peaks restaurant where the brawl broke out, according to San Antonio lawyer A.L. Hernden, who is helping the family.

Hernden said Diego Obledo was “just standing around” but was caught up in the sweep as 170 people were arrested by Waco law officers. More than 30 are from this area.

Obledo has since been fired from his job at USAA, where he was an appraisal review specialist and three months away from being vested, Hernden said. Obledo is not in any gang, but accompanied friends in a motorcycle club for a meeting meant to discuss motorcycle laws and safety, according to Hernden.

“It’s terrible,” Hernden said. “He doesn’t even have a criminal record and is a family man. He’s got three kids and is the sole breadwinner.”

So the latest story is that Bandidos opened up on infringing Cossacks? Any coroner’s reports on the wounds? All handgun? The guy that just “walked around the corner” to see what the commotion was and caught a round? Handgun? So many conflicting stories and the “system” acting guilty as hell.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that the most dangerous gang in Waco was the cops.

One interesting thing here is the lack of any information coming out of Waco. And a pretty much disinterested media.

Why would the media be interested...?

Not one thing in this story gives them a lead into helping Hillary cover up her crimes...

I’m pretty disappointed in USAA for not recognizing (and actually joining in) the injustice being done to this man and his family (and many others). Lives are being destroyed by this operation coordinated by the Obama regime’s DOJ agencies and joined in gleefully by local Waco law enforcement.

I’ve had USAA as my insurance company all my adult life so won’t cancel with them solely for this but I feel hurt that they would do this to their employee and his family.

The Brown Shirt Media seems to have concluded the victims were “asking for it” and they got it. If true, fine, I have no problem with that. It just seems to me that if that were the case subsequent events would have unfolded quite differently. There is no need for speculation at this point. The Coroner knows whether the fatal wounds were handgun or rifle. Why don’t WE know? If the police are as blameless as they would have us believe it seems to me we WOULD know. As I have posted previously, if we have come to a place where we should be simply shooting folks who we feel have low morals I can think of far more important targets than bikers. DC comes to mind as a target rich environment.

Interesting tidbit from the San Antonio rag:

“Mario Obledo (his grandfather) co-founded the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) and the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project, among others.”

While I don’t believe in punishing children for the sins of a parent (or grandparent), this guy’s grandfather did a LOT to wreck this country.

People seem to blaming this turf war on the cops. You’re wrong.
Four motorcycle “clubs” were meeting to divide Texas territory. A fifth, uninvited, showed up. The “clubs” were also supposed to only have officers show.
What territory was to be divided and for what purpose? these “clubs” are gangs. They are all 1%ers and active criminals. They were meeting to determine which gang has control of drug, gun, and prostitute activity in a specific territory.
A confronttion was inevitible, since each group of officers brought their own “protection” with them.
The cops should have mowed them all down.

This “innocent man”? Associate with criminals and you’ll be treated as one. No sympathy.
There’s been plenty of info about this in the media for those that wish to look. There is plenty of information on the motorcycle “clubs” if you want to look.

I’m a biker. I ride and sometimes I ride with a group. I’m also the President of a Rider’s Group.
People need to do some research before you blame the cops for taking down a gang of criminals.

You have to read almost all the way to the bottom of the article before you find the key part. State law requires the lawyer to be the attorney of record in order to post the bond.

I never knew that USAA was supposed to be the bonding company for their employees?

Thanks for the link. One would assume this information was released by Waco PD. My question is then, how can he be lawfully detained under the statute he is charged with?

Please share the source for this. Does it come from Waco PD or the DOJ?

I did not read House's comment to indicate that USAA could be expected to post bond. I read it as disappointment that they did not make an allowance for the fact that an innocent man got rounded up in a mass detention.

No dope dealing criminal scumbags. Sounds like a good place. What's not to like about it?

They do if they are fanboys of criminal gangs.

Because after you mow down dope dealing criminal scumbags, that mowing down genie is out of the bottle. From then on, whoever has the power gets to pick the next target for mowing down.
