“Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) cast global warming and America’s dependence on foreign oil as national security issues in a speech on energy policy yesterday”

McCain you have over extended your stay, get the hell out.

I realize this was first based on something McCain apparently said in 2007,but what is it with these wacko-bird types & this “climate change” business? Of course, there IS climate change & it’s natural. Why do these people think they can change what God has set in play? Oh,by the way, there is no money to throw at it anyway because that’s already put us in debt forever thanks to some other goofy gov’t. ideas from previous days.

With all due respect to Sen. McCain, he is an excellent example why the 17th Amendment (17A) should have never been ratified. More about 17A shortly.

Sen. McCain is wrongly ignoring the following. Even if climate change had been substantiated with the consistent results of repeatable, scientific method based experimentation, it remains that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to tax and spend for climate change issues. So misguided McCain is pushing this agenda outside the framework of the Constitution.

And regardless that national security is arguably as good an excuse as any to push PC climate change issues, I wouldn’t be surprised if McCain hasn’t lifted a finger to uphold his oath to protect and defend the Constitution by leading Congress to propose a climate change amendment to the Constitution to the states. If the states chose to ratify such an amendment then Congress would have the constitutional authority that it needs to regulate, tax and spend for climate change issues and McCain would be a hero.

Getting back to 17A, as mentioned above the nation doesn’t want misguided senators like McCain who wrongly push their political agendas outside the framework of the Constitution.

The 17th Amendment needs to disappear and low-information senators like McCain along with it.

Yikes! I turn it down to 63 when I turn in.

The spare room has probably never been over 65. It’s small,
just enough room for one guy and a gun collection.
You do want to go shootin’ I hope. heh

Yeah, my den looks like an armory, too. And there's enough fishing gear in here to take the whole neighborhood on an outing. It's like the local Outdoor Club. I like it like that.

Yeah, but I work from home. It's not nice when Building Management gets out of bed and turns up the burner in my office. I fix computers better when I'm not sweaty and cranky.
