I could just picture him in a beret and a Che t-shirt, sitting in a Boston coffee bar, pretending to read these books and talking about how much he loves British rugby and all things French.

When I first read the title, I thought it said “Obama book collection.”

We could probably find similar book collections in university faculty lounges all across the United States.

The Best Enemy Money Can Buy by Antony Sutton (Billings, Mont.: Liberty House, 1986) is an interesting choice. Sutton's books were popular with the John Birchers.

I was just talking to someone about this Blum fellow:
“Rogue State: A Guide to the World’s Only Superpower by William Blum “
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Blum
“In early 2006, Blum briefly became the subject of widespread media attention when Osama bin Laden issued a public statement in which he quoted Blum and recommended that all Americans read Rogue State: A Guide to the World’s Only Superpower.”
I am not familiar with this author, I may have heard of him in passing.

No Howard Zinn?
They must have overlooked him when they made the list.

He apprears in this leftwing fake indictment stunt along with Ray McGovern of the fringe group VIPS, one of the dorks who was heavily invested in the Anti-Cheney Niger-yellowcake-Ambassador Joe Wilson-CIA super dooper deep cover pregnant spy Valerie Plame "scandal."
...Named in the indictments are: President of the United States George W. Bush, Vice President Richard Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, U.S. Army Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez, U.S. Army Major General Geoffrey Miller, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, et al.
The indictments will be delivered to the White House by: Retired CIA analyst Ray McGovern, authors William Blum and Larry Everest, Code Pink, Mike Hersh (Progressive Democrats of America/After Downing Street), Kevin Zeese (Director, Democracy Rising; candidate for U.S. Senate in Maryland), Travis Morales (World Can't Wait -- Drive Out the Bush Regime) and others TBA.

Yeah, I don’t pretend to be familiar with more than half that list, but he appeared to have been interested in a wide variety of right and left conspiracy reading. Interestingly, his mainstream reading titles were heavily tilted to the left.
