Inside the long-shot effort to get the vice president on the ballot and stop Hillary's coronation.
If these were ordinary times, a happy warrior like Joe Biden would be first out of the starting gate in the race for president. It would be so easy; politicking is what he loves to do.
But with Hillary Clinton so dominant in the polls, Biden is hanging back, watching and waiting to see if maybe there’s an opening. He’s telling supporters in the early states that he’ll decide in the next four weeks, or by end of summer.
On that thin thread, Draft Biden 2016, a SuperPAC designed to draft him into the race, is lining up endorsements in Iowa, the first contest, and organizing house parties and meet ups across the country, from Maryland to Alaska.
“Our goal is to have one party in each state, including Alaska,” says executive director Will Pierce.
Even Alaska?

Aw, what the heck, we need the comedy relief.
But as Will Rogers cautioned, “With Congress, every time they make a joke it’s a law, and every time they make a law it’s a joke.”
And Joe being Joe, he would sign all those jokes into law.

Why not just draft the peanut farmer again? Jimmuh only served one term, so he should still be eligible. After all, he is a good, upstanding baptist, like the the Phelps family of Topeka, Kansas, WBC fame, right?

Only in the Democratic party does a gaffe prone blithering idiot like Joe Biden get credible recognition. If the country was not at stake this would be hilarious...
My Biden sticker would be “Stand up for Chuck in 2016”...
Better than what we have now. Bumbling fool > evil overlord wannabe.
Biden would be okay for domestic policy because he says whatever is on the top of his mind.
He wouldn't be so great as commander in chief for the same reason.
POTUS would stand for Plagarizer of the United States.
But surely we can do better than Biden.

Yup, a priceless Uncle Joe moment. If anything, a Biden run would be a Gaffapalooza.
In the next election, heck no. But I wouldn’t mind calling him, “President Biden” right now. Bammy has done enough to dilute the value of Biden as Impeachment insurance
Whenever Jarrett releases him from WH secret closet, his dilemma will be to run as Obama Mini-Me or anti-Obama.
That or the third option, running a round in a circle.
