Nearly two-thirds of companies facing a new ObamaCare tax say they are changing their coverage to avoid the extra costs, according to a new survey.
The so-called Cadillac tax, which applies to healthcare plans above a certain expense threshold, is one of the most pressing changes still to come under ObamaCare.
Only 2.5 percent of companies that would be hit by the Cadillac tax starting in 2018 said they plan to pay the tax. A total of 62 percent of companies said they have already taken action or plan to take action to avoid it.
Most say they are shifting toward higher deductible plans, while others said they are reducing benefits, shifting more costs to employees or dropping high-cost plans altogether.

For democrats making things fair/equal is bringing standards, paychecks, performance, - whatever - down. Democrats = bring the bar down/share the misery.
For conservatives it’s trying to get the mimimum higher.
That’s been the plan all along! Make life so MISERABLE for businesses and taxpayers that we’ll be BEGGING for single-payer Government healthcare.
My company has made some DRASTIC changes to avoid all of this cr@p. And good for them, even though it makes MY life in the trenches a pain in the @ss!

It’s not a tax, it’s a penalty. Calling it a tax was something that unprincipled snake Roberts came up with to justify upholding it when he knew very well that it was unconstitutional. He as almost as little integrity as Obama and the Clintons.
Now, how do regular Americans gt out of it?
All the ways Obamacare was going to pay for itself don’t seem to be working out. I’m shocked, shocked!
Those forced into the plans realize the name was actually a cruel joke; they get no healthcare, but instead were forced to pay high premiums for insurance plans too expensive to use. Under the guise of providing healthCARE for all, they instead forced health INSURANCE on all - though they can’t take advantage of the coverage...
