I sure nowadays Jesus would face legal sanction if He refused to turn water into wine for a gay “wedding” (those on Twitter may even threaten to crucify Him). Jesus did command His followers to give freely of their bounty to those less fortunate. But He in NO WAY authorized the government or anyone else to come TAKE IT by force or threat thereof! Such would be a violation of “Thou shall not steal” (Exodus 20:15). Liberals when telling us what Jesus REALLY thinks... tend to overlook that point... among others.

Jesus spent quite a bit of time discussing sin, something liberals don’t believe exists other than voting Republican.
Leftist philosophy seeks to eliminate poverty, while Jesus bluntly said (based on the gospel) that there would always be poor people, no matter what you do. So I dispute Dr Dean here.
