The NG needed a few of these in Baltimore mounted on some MRAPs. A few rounds over the heads would have calmed things down pretty quickly.

For more info, dial up Spooky or Puff from the Vietnam war.

Wow - Fifteen seconds worth of test rounds were fired in the company range during system development. That’s so unimpressive words fail me.

15 seconds of test rounds = 1000 rounds. So, while not all that impressive in absolute terms, it’s nothing to sneeze at either.

Sounds like a very late coming copy of Puff the Magic Dragon from the Vietnam era.

A few rounds at the heads & upper torso’s would have quieted things down even more quickly for those “kids” of 0bama!

It certainly is - considering we’d fire that much every week underway. 1000 rounds in a year of testing doesn’t speak well of the test program.

I take it you have never seen Spooky or Puff do their thing? Quite different from what the A-10 does or can do.

If you are pinned down at night and about to be overrun, this is what you want overhead.

The gun isn’t ‘new’ - it’s the 20mm GE Vulcan design that’s been around for decades. That part doesn’t really need to be tested especially since this company’s been making them for years. What is new is the system they’ve already been making for a while is now in a palletized form, that’s pretty much it.

a better cheaper and more green plan turn loose about 60 Spanish fighting bulls in groups of 10

streets would be clear in no time

catch bulls and put out to pasture till needed again

They don’t let the designers have much fun. 15 secs of fire?

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Makes zero sense.
