Remember when Drudge covered the “President Obama ate dog” story? Every journalist in the country was in on the joke - but their readers weren’t... He has that kind of power - I’m amazed you don’t read him.

While he does provide a very valuable service... I dont think that makes hjim the most influential man in America. Were he so mightily influential.. we wouldnt have a complete YUTZ in the Whitehouse

he has no competitors, and determines what you watch on television, what you read in newspapers, what you hear and radio, and even what you read on the Internet about politics

All of this is not true. He has a ton of competition. He does not determine what I watch on TV. I don't read the fishwrap; I'm only and don't pay for that crap. He doesn't tell me what to read on the internet.

What hogwash.

Everyone I know who is interested in current events scans his site at leasr once a day. Not to get our marching orders, but as one source of information, to be assimilated with others.

He’s done pretty well for a single page of simple html that obviously satisfies a need for a huge number of people.

He;s provided a wonderful service but I dont that that he’s become the most influential man in America, by virtue of that fact.

We have a Communist President who Im certain Matt Drudge doesnt approve of much less support.

Were Drudge the most influential Man in America...”THINGS” might be considerably “different”.

...”The Drudge Report is the only news source I check regularly. I used to read several newspapers and watch a number of television news shows every day, but I found that the Drudge Report was all I needed other than occasional local news. I entrust Matt Drudge with filtering out all the media noise and providing a starting point to what is important. Although no one is perfect, he does that better than anyone.”...

Me, too, except that I check with Drudge more than once a day.

BINGO!!

the word influential.....ineherently means the ability to INFLUENCE.

Matt Drudge did NOT Influence anywhere near the majority of voters who cast their ballots in either the 2008 or 2012 Presidential Election to vote for Baraq Hussein Mohammed Obama!

well perhaps I missed those articles.......

This is the reason why the LIBERALS, SOCIALISTS and COMMUNISTS are trying to figure out how to shut MATT DRUDGE up. Oh, don’t worry, they’ll find a way to do it LEGALLY

The article assumes that Obama is the most influential person in America. What a bunch of hogwash. Obama is a lot of things, but "influential" he is definitely NOT.

No one listens to Obama. Ever. His handlers tell him what to do and say. They put him on TV, and he says nothing of any consequence. He has no leadership skills whatsoever.

Matt Drudge tells me what flavor of coffee to drink ... and whether to use the Keurig or the french press.

I always hit Drudge after going through about fifty stories on Free Republic every morning.

It usually covers the two stories we havent gotten around to posting yet.

Breaking news is ALWAYS followed on this site.

(thank you Jim)

So this “person” publicly admits mental illness and a propensity for perversion.

Since he doesn’t write his own stories, he has never been a breaking news guy. That was never his strong point.

He is big because so many people read his site ... he DIRECTS people to the news he thinks is relevant. That has always been the case.

I agree. Drudge is a must read for me daily.

Drudge has never written his own stories. He shapes the news by directing people’s attention to stories he finds important.
