British Prime Minister David Cameron and his Tory party all but vanquished the opposing Labor Party and proved pre-election polls wrong with a resounding election triumph he called "the sweetest victory of all."

Fueled by a landslide in Scotland, Cameron and the Tories left opponents on the right and left in tatters. The Labour Party lost 24 seats in Parliament according to early returns, and party leader Ed Miliband resigned from his role. Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg resigned after acknowledging a "cruel and punishing defeat," in which his left-of-center part suffered its worst-ever defeat - dropping from 57 seats to just 8. On the right, UK Independence Party Leader Nigel Farage, a thorn in Cameron's side, failed to win a seat.

This reminds me of the recent elections in Israel. The thinking was that Netanyahu was quite likely toast, yet he won easily.

Makes me wonder what’s going on in the reporting.

Did Obama do that?

Obama, bringing the harsh reality of leftist socialism to even the most blind, and the death nail to anyone he supports.

I am not wondering at all. The leftist media tries to sway voters and make the news instead of educating and reporting.

The corporatist EU backed Cameron wins....”fake” Conservatism that supported Obama’s Iran nuclear deal by lobbying US Senators earlier this year, doubled his country’s national debt and so on.....

CINO Cameron, the UK’s Jeb Bush on steroids has won.....

Polls are no longer designed to measure the sentiment of the population.

Instead polls are designed to influence the population.

For weeks the leftist media was touting their polls stating Milliband was leading and Cameron was in trouble.

“I am not wondering at all. The leftist media tries to sway voters and make the news instead of educating and reporting”

My sentiments exactly. The Filmation cartoons and live action programs I watched as a kid on Saturday mornings in the 1970s were far more educational and thoughtful than the drivel that is on the 24 hour news networks of today.

They were still reporting a 34 to 31 percent advantage for Labour as recently as Monday.

It ended up 30.5 to 37, Conservative.

”fake” Conservatism

The term has a different meaning over there. The important thing to take from this is that Brits are moving right-ward, hard and fast. The Liberal Democrat Party was basically wiped out... UKIP (which is for leaving the EU) is now the new #3 party (despite gaining only one seat. That will change in 2019)... and Labour went from 400+ seats in 1997 and 2001, and 355 in 2005, to only 230 now.

Maybe UK is waking up, finally?

Well, we can be sure Obama’s minions were over there helping Cameron’s Tories, since he helped push Obama’s nuke-sellout “deal” with Iran.

UKIP did lose, but at least Cameron is now compelled to hold a referendum on ditching the EU.

Unless they weasel out of that too ....

We generally support the "Tories" (Conservatives), especially those like Thatcher and Churchill. David Cameron very openly and publicly moved leftward to gain more of the youth vote (basically a Jeb Bush). While this election was a HUGE loss for the Labour and Liberal Democrats, it was not a huge gain for the Conservatives, other than just barely hitting the magic 326 number for a true majority. The Scottish National Party stole most of the gains (+50 seats to CON's +22), but they are also very Left-ward. The SNP is the #3 party in the House of Commons now, even though they only got 4.8 percent of the vote. UKIP (anti-EU, and for strong opposition to Islam) got 12.8 percent of the vote. They should do very well in 2020.

So the good news items are that their Left is fracturing and unhappy, their slanted polling is getting revealed for the fraud that it is, and their Right is looking like they might have a good future in 2020. Maybe they can even convince Cameron to quit moving left to grab votes... but maybe he will see this win as encouragement to run even further left. We shall see.

all true, and then there’s the fact that the country itself just doesn’t have nearly as many real conservatives as we do. They’ve strayed further afield even than us.....I don’t see another Churchill or Thatcher ever in England.

and yet, the real conservative Nigel was shunned and couldn’t garner enough support to gain his own seat.

Perhaps the definition you give of conservative is far to narrow.

BTW.... I would have gladly voted for Nigel

The liberal media appears to use the exact same tactics worldwide.

Relentless reporting of positive polls showing liberal candidates favored 2 to 1 over conservatives. Conservative candidates/party in trouble and so forth.

Then come election day...liberals get blown out of the water.

Media for the most part has become nothing more than a propaganda machine for the left.

Nigel Farrage. But this is the next best thing as Labor got crushed. Especially sweet as before the election they were making noise about passing anti-Islamophobia laws to curry the favor of the savage (Muslim) vote.

Who did we want to win? I was thinking this is good news but maybe not according to your post.

Nextrush, and constant bitchers like him/her/it, will never be happy until they, themselves, are elected to every office.

No one will make him/her/it happy.

Since napscoordinator is for Walker {I think} I'd bet dollars to donuts that Nextrush will find too many problems with Walker to make him/her/it happy.
