Justice Dept. to investigate Baltimore police on use of force

Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch has decided to launch a federal investigation into whether the Baltimore Police Department has engaged in a “pattern or practice” of excessive force.

Lynch’s announcement about the Justice Department’s probe — the latest in a string of municipalities that are being investigated by the federal government for civil rights violations — could come as early as Friday, according to two law enforcement officials.

A Justice Department spokeswoman declined to comment Thursday night.

Lynch hinted Thursday that a decision could come soon, when she testified during her first hearing on Capitol Hill as attorney general. She said that she would decide “in the coming days” whether to have the department’s civil rights division open an investigation into the Baltimore police force.

I’m glad the Baltimore PD is led by one of her kind and the majority of the PD is one of her kind and the mayor is one of her kind and the district attorney is one of her kind. I wouldn’t want this to turn into a whitey witchhunt or anything.

Lessee, the emerging pattern is for the DOJ to step in and make life miserable for every municipality whenever a negro gets hurt by a police department, no matter its racial composition.

I’ve never been a LEO, so perhaps I’m wrong when I say this will prompt otherwise good men and women in police departments to look the other way at inner city crime. This is another way to keep up the street violence that the Left requires.

Doing the right thing anymore just won’t be worth the hassle and enormous risk to individual policemen.
