The other three are on the ballot!
It should be “complete the original term of their sentence”. No good time, or early release time counted.
Punish, or don't.
Don't give a life sentence without having the option of a dirt nap.

“There is a good reason liberal lawmakers and governors across the country are eager to pass laws allowing felons to vote.”

Should read ....
There is a good reason liberal lawmakers and governors (AND RAND PAUL) across the country are eager to pass laws allowing felons to vote.
Rand is so dense.
So many say that felons should be able to vote after serving their sentence.
Part of their sentence is losing their right to vote. What part of that can they not comprehend?
Felons shouldn’t vote at all.
Quite. If they want to vote, we’ll add 5 years to every sentence across the board and then we’ll consider it.
What part of a life sentence for a non-violent offender do you not get?
I am working to change that.
If a felon needs a life sentence, he needs a death penalty.

I don’t think Rand or his old dad are “dense.” They have convinced hundreds of thousands of supporters to give them millions of dollars for doing nothing but making speeches. Sweet.
The left is always looking for ways to expand the “rights” of anyone who might bring them votes, no matter how little a contributor to society they may be, while steadily curtailing the freedom of the rest of us.
Or, face it that it's a life sentence and give them a dirt nap.
One or the other. Not the BS we have today.

Imagine Hillary Clinton visiting San Quentin ...on a Campaign Tour... with Huma!!
“I am not a Crook....WOOPS sorry didnt mean to offend anyone...:
I’d say if the ‘dead’ were allowed voting in elections, then felons should be able to, at least they are ‘alive’....
If someone commits a felony, there should be severe consequences.
If someone doesn’t like losing their right to vote, they shouldn’t commit a felony.
:-)
"Paying one's debt to society" is a phrase used to describe sitting in jail doing nothing. It's hard to see how it pays any debt. In fact, it's more like the opposite, since it costs society quite a bit to keep a felon incarcerated.
That is a life sentence. And it needs to be reflected appropriately.
So, commit a felony that requires a life sentence, add the death penalty to it, because under your scheme, the punishment is NEVER over.
We call that a life sentence.

They need dirt naps. In a perfect world, while the crime is being committed.
