It is a good technology for fighting low intensity warfare. It might make some difference in the behaviours of politicians around the world, but great many of them use body doubles in many instances.
The biggest problem with assassinations is properly I.D. ing the target.
It may cut down the logistics burden a bit, would need to know the ancillary equipment required.
