I just returned from Colombia...a life long friend of my wife was visiting from Venezuela(she is married to a Venezuelan) heres the real story..

No soap, deodorant, paper products, meat, fish, chicken, luxury goods such as TVs or appliances. Murder, rape robbery rates are sky high. People talk openly only to very close friends/family.

When she returned she could bring back more than 2 deodorants, 2 lbs of coffee and NO US DOLLARS.

Colombia, now, is a rapidly advancing country, surpassing a lot of euroscum countries. ITS THE SYSTEM!!!!

No, Venezuela's medical crisis requires Venezuela's leaders to renounce Socialism.

Getting on their knees and apologizing to their citizens for wrecking a perfectly viable economy in their lust for power would help a lot, too.

The answer to the crisis is for their current set of oligarchs to abandon power, and for the country to abandon socialism completely. Socialism always creates an oligarchy; Chavez just created his own.

As others have noted, they destroyed their country, and yet still present Chavez and his gang of thieves as the saviors of the country.

They all merit a rope. The country was a mess before, mostly due to decades of socialist rule. Chavez brought them socialism on steroids.

“...free, high-quality medical care.”

There is NO SUCH THING!

No way I’m sending my money to Maduro. We know how that goes: The money & medical supplies will be used or sold off by Maduro & supporters while everyone else continues to suffer & die.

Perhaps the Boston Globe can persuade the Clintons to set up a Foundation to help the Venezuelans.

Didn’t China just agree to give them a bunch of money?

“Venezuela should just adopt the superior Cuban Health Care System. Better yet the Venezuelans should emigrate to Cuba.”

Just as a point of reference for you, the Cuban Doctor is one of the higher paid positions in Cuba. That said, Cuba does have Mincomes, so the average non-doctor is paid $20 a month, while the high paid doctor is paid $30 per month!

Due to that terrible pay, Cuba can make more by treating doctors as a commodity and SELLING them to other countries. Venezuala is a very active buyer of Cuban doctors on the market. Cuban Doctors are OK with the situation because it is easier to escape Venezuala than it is to escape Cuba.

Socialism is simply communism by another name!
