I know she’s a walking cluster..... but boy is she pretty. what a shame.
Yeah, she’s pretty, but she’s also pretty stupid.
Baltimore sure has thrived since they gave those nasty Republicans the heave-ho.
McKeldin made John V. Lindsay look like a right-winger.
When a political party is given such tenure and security the public will suffer.

On a similar note, Chicago hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1931.
Now granted, that last Republican mayor was none other than Big Bill Thompson, so I can understand a certain lasting reluctance in voting for another one. :-)

McKeldin was Eisenhower’s first choice for VP. He nominated our 2 time president at the national Republican convention both times. The party leadership would have none of it and insisted upon Nixon. McKeldin was a stunning orator and was greatly beloved in the city and state.

That’s often the problem. The last GOP Mayors of some of these cities were downright dreadful (McKeldin, Thompson, Riordan, et al).
