Jeb Bush jolted his prospective rivals for the Republican presidential nomination last winter when he dived with unexpected aggressiveness into the 2016 campaign. Few of them seem to be quaking now.
The former Florida governor is still the biggest name in the GOP field, with a fundraising network unmatched by any of the others. But Bushs considerable assets so far have done little to reshape the early polls or keep others out of the race. If anything, its the opposite.
Bush acknowledged all this when he was in New Hampshire a week ago. Noting his strong establishment support, one voter, concerned about whether he was a true conservative, said she and others dont want to see a coronation for the GOP nomination in the way Democrats seem to be moving to anoint Hillary Rodham Clinton as their nominee.
An incredulous Bush responded with laughter. I dont see any coronation coming my way, trust me, he said. Come on. What do you see that Im not seeing? Weve got 95 people possibly running for president. Im really intimidating a whole bunch of folks, arent I?

Not afraid.
Repulsed,revolted, and disgusted.
Learn your words, WaPo.
Jebster is the candidate of The Cheap Labor Express.
The RNC has been paid millions to deliver an amnesty candidate.
They would like it to be Jebster, but Rubio will do.
We must elect a President who will stop the invasion/cheap labor importation or we become North Mexico.
He’s wasting every penny. He can’t win. If he is the nominee he loses even if hillary is giving oral sex to Huma live on video while killing puppies.
Jeb Bush is no conservative. For him and his little wife, it’s “Mexico First.”
It is nice the HUF PO keeps beating old Jeb up.
Like he matters.
This is actually an interesting question. And the answer looks to be no.
Hey, Jebbie, it’s “Am I not?”, not “Are I”.
I don’t ‘fear’ Bush - no one does. Too many of Bush’s positions are liberal - so many - it ‘feels’ he should run as a Democrat.
That’s not fear.
... or just scared ...
Nobody's afraid of Jeb Bush.
Nobody's really afraid for him, either.
