Take your pick: The Crusades. Lack of jobs. Jim Crowe laws.
You can only wish that he would have shot his mouth off too.
Without the accidental shooting the police would not have foiled this attack.
So this wasn’t some brilliant police action, but dump luck. You must wonder how many more of these jihadist are loose out there..and being “tracked”.

IOW there is no mention of him being on LE radar, before he flubbed his efforts.
