Obama's big carbon footprint celebrating Earth Day in Fla

....Obama will visit the Everglades Wednesday, Earth Day, to call attention to global warming and the administration's efforts to cut carbon pollution across the globe. CBS News reporter Mark Knoller raised an intervesting question with honorary Floridian and former Jim Davis adviser Josh Earnest at the press secretary's daily briefing today. Here's a transcript of the exchange:

Q Thanks. On the Everglades trip, does the President risk undermining his message when he flies to the Everglades on a 747 hundreds of miles to make a statement about climate change? (Laughter.)

Q He could drive. (Laughter.)

MR. EARNEST: It’s a provocative question.

Q Take a van.

MR. EARNEST: But, no, he doesn't. The President believes that there are important changes that we can make to reduce carbon pollution in this country, and we can do it in a way that will be good for our economy. That is precisely the case that the President will be making at the Everglades. And he’s looking forward to the trip.

Q Does he try to minimize the carbon footprint that he leaves whenever he goes anywhere?

The link above details the estimate of how much fuel Valerie will waste on this trip to the Everglades...And that is just on her jet fuel alone.

9,000 gallons of fuel. How long will it take you to burn that in your car, hmmm?

As I've said before: Hope the mosquitoes are aplenty and voraciously hungry!

WTH is Earth day?!?! it sounds like a pagan holiday from 2500 years ago. Are there going to be fertility rituals. Maybe a burning man?
The earth doesn't give a dam about us. “save the planet” is the stupidest slogan I ever heard of.
I have read what it would take to destroy the earth, I don't understand most of it, but a planet traveling at a fast enough speed hitting earth head on could destroy it. Or a black hole. Coal factories, cow gas, ALL the garbage that is going to be left at the earth day gathering and fast cars are not going to destroy it. What idiots.

O’s carbon output is different from the ordinary person. It is beneficial. Breathe it in.

His jet aircraft abuse hypocrisy is an obvious target.

What I haven’t heard the Clueless Republicans point out is the utter hypocrisy of his Immigration Insanity.

No credible “environmentalist” advocates mass immigration into the United States. “Overpopulation” was the battle cry of Paul Ehrlich and Denis Hayes in 1970.

How does this clown portray himself as some defender of the Earf while at the same time trying to cram open borders immigration down our collective throats?

But the idiot “Republicans” let him get away with it.

Earth Day is Marxist brainwashing to promote the agenda. You are supposed to give up all of your freedom and wealth for the earth.

Pray America is waking

The first Earth Day, in 1970, was on Vladimir Lenin's 100th birthday.

So far the media thinks the public is more willing to accept a celebration of Earth Day than a celebration of Lenin's birthday. But I imagine that the latter is how Obama thinks of it.

When are they going to start celebrating the other planets' days?
