MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A 94-year-old physician who served as team doctor for five U.S. men's Olympic hockey squads has suffered serious injuries in an attack while visiting his wife's grave.
KMSP-TV reported that George Nagobads was mugged Sunday afternoon at the Crystal Lake Cemetery and left bleeding from the head. A witness says Nagobads managed to get back in his car and drive away. The unidentified witness says he saw a young man looking through a wallet near the mausoleum before fleeing.
Nagobads was the University of Minnesota men's hockey team physician for 34 years until his retirement in 1992. He also worked for the Minnesota North Stars in the late 1980s and early 1990s. And he was team doctor for the famous "Miracle on Ice" team that won Olympic gold in 1980.

I enjoyed those Olympics too, I was 13. Another high point was Eric Heiden’s medals in the speed skating events. I’ll remember the “Miracle on Ice” even if I live to 100.

I’m glad the doctor was strong enough to get in his car and drive after what he went through, I admire his toughness. I just hope they catch the scum bum(s) that beat him up, they deserve to be locked up for a long time and have Bubba beat on them, see how that like it.

I believe that your statement is very insulting to the publishers of the current-day Pravda. Furthermore, the 1970’s USSR was a sanctuary for freedom of opinion and thought compared to present-day Minnesota :(
