Obama and Bubba did the same I believe. Looks like the Champions of the Down with the Struggle do not like contributing to those who serve them.

That’s because she has to save that money for drinks across Iowa.

Chipotle is a fast food place. Why are they putting out a tip jar?

I think I’m going to put one at the entrance to my cube tomorrow.

I am surprised she left the tip jar there.

It was an oversight, because her people are supposed to take care of that. Service to her highness is a privilege and a duty. She appreciates it, but is too far removed to respond individually and personally. Instead, servers are to focus on the general rewards that flow from her munificence.

Thighness will sabotage her own campaign if nobody else will step up to it. She doesn’t want the damned job, and she sure doesn’t want to spend her hard-swindled money losing the race for it.

I don't leave anything in the Chipolte tip jar either, and I'm pretty generous about tipping. The food is good, but overpriced, and you stand in line, give your order, and it gets put together assembly-line style.

At those prices and the volume they generate, they should be paying their "associates" (isn't that the current term?) at least $10 an hour.

I guess the manager didn't get the memo that she's "broke"...

I don’t fault her for that. Tip jars are ubiquitous and out of line. Tips are appropriate when you’re at a sit down restaurant and get waited in. Standing in line and giving your irder, stepping down and picking up your order, doesn’t warrant a tip.

Sure, a big-name pol should know better, and this Chipotle manager is probably risking his job to get the word out.

But does a decent Republican really believe that tipping for counter service should be required?
