Jonathan Karl: Hillary Clinton’s Popularity Has Taken a ‘Beating’
Mediaite ^ | 2015-04-12 | Andrew Desiderio

While examining Hillary Clinton‘s poll numbers ahead of her expected presidential announcement later Sunday, ABC News White House correspondent Jonathan Karl said the numbers show that Clinton has taken a “beating” since since left her job as Secretary of State.

A new Bloomberg poll shows that 72 percent of Democrats and Independents want Clinton to face a serious challenger during the Democratic primary. But, as Karl noted, that is unlikely as Clinton is “the biggest non-incumbent frontrunner we have ever seen.”

But her popularity, Karl said, “has taken a beating” since she left the State Department — now at 49 percent from a high of 67 percent.

“The biggest factor driving her popularity down is the issue of honesty and trustworthiness,” Karl told George Stephanopoulos on This Week. “Clearly, Benghazi and that email scandal have taken a toll.”

Been waiting since 12pm CST for the Big Announcement and nothing. Guess Hillary is back on Clinton Time and the Announcement will be late.
Had forever to prepare and can’t even manage this part of things right.

So apparently Jonathan Karl supports violence against wimmin. He needs to check his male privilege and carve back on these micro-aggressive phrase choices.

Hillary is going to have to rely heavily on the promises of free stuff and lots of government handouts.

Why did Hillary, when she was Secretary of State, make a video apology to the Moslems for that baloney film?

Because she had to.

How many other videos have you seen Hillary make?

Her blackmailers forced her to do that to prove that she was personally involved in the blackmail.

Where do you think that $6,000,000,000 that is “missing” from the State Department went? It went to pay our enemies who are blackmailing Hillary and Obama.

The idiots who cover-up for Clinton are being played. She overthrew the government of Libya and had Qadaffi killed. This was intentional. It wasn’t some good idea gone wrong.

the American voting public put the muslim that currently occupies the White House there twice. Hillary has at least a 50-50 chance. If she converts to islam and publicizes it, her stock with the American voting public will take off like a rocket. The intelligence of the American voting public cannot be underestimated.

Yes, Hillary will have to double down on the free stuff promises to make up for her loss of popularity.

Maybe the new youthful Clinton Handlers read the article this A. M. on Yahoo and then read the comments...

they were 99% negative toward her, made me LOL...and Yahoo too...

so now maybe they are going to try another new strategy..they do change their thoughts every few hours...and as usual they are late, as they stated yesterday, she will announce around noon on Sunday...

When ever she does announce, I feel that with in two months she will be trashed and won’t be able to physically handle it, she is closing in on 70 and depression is easy to fall into...

what ever, what difference does it really make...NOW

Isn’t it true that Hillary’s popularity always drops when she is running for office?

I thought her popularity increased markedly during the Lewinsky scandal, as the victimized wife and all that.

Then she ran for Senate, and though she won election, her popularity took a hit as she had to take positions on issues and turned some people off.

She was the allegedly inevitable candidate in the run up to 2008, until that campaign got under way. Then her popularity declined.

Her approval ratings increased markedly as Secretary of State, when she was out of the country a lot, and not in the news day by day.

Then, as talk of her running for president again got more heated, even though she may coast to the Democrat nomination, her popularity has again taken a hit.

The more people see of Hillary, as a political candidate, the less people like her.

Another thread says she’s delaying the announcement to build up anticipation! in other words: her announcement is having the same response as her book signings. Nada.

Hillary is like Moochie Obama.

The less the public sees of them, the higher their favorability polls.

I think that for a lot of the wrong reasons many people like the idea of Hillary becoming president.

They just don't like Hillary in person.

"They just don't like Hillary in person."

The Irony?

Those that I know who have met Sarah Palin in person denote a meeting with a once in a lifetime political superstar that is humble, gracious, and genuine human being. Yet she was she who had to be destroyed and they did so. And now the powers that be try to foist this person who is unlikeable with an awful track record upon us because they agree with her ideology..

Clinton makes her own rules... and laws. She’s a queen after all and we’re just rubes. You must remember that...
