Secret US memo for Congress...says Britain's 'special relationship' with America is over
Daily Mail ^ | April 12 2015 | WILLIAM LOWTHER and GLEN OWEN

Washington believes that the ‘special relationship’ between Britain and the US is over, according to a secret briefing document seen by The Mail on Sunday.

The memo for members of Congress states damningly that ‘the UK may not be viewed as centrally relevant to the United States in all of the issues and relations considered a priority on the US agenda’.

Dated April 2015 and drawn up to brief the Senate and House of Representatives on the impact of Britain’s General Election, the memo also warns that the UK faces turmoil if there is a hung parliament.

The document – prepared by the Congressional Research Service, an in-house intelligence body that gives confidential analysis to legislators – states that while Britain and the US are likely to ‘remain key economic partners’, a ‘reassessment of the special relationship may be in order… because its geopolitical setting has been changing’.

The memo, edited by Derek E Mix, the CRS’s chief European affairs analyst, says that the development of organisations such as the G20 group of major economies has led to a decline in the ‘influence and centrality of the relationship’.

At some level I would agree with this, but not for the reasons one might think.

Historically, the US has shared a heritage of similarity in origin and ideals, particularly after the first few decades of America’s rise.

The big disconnect I see now is Britain’s impending defeat to immigration - the immigration of foreign Muslims. The liberal left in Britain have used them to gain power but that power comes at the price of Islam. The country is awash with users, losers and a plethora of baby Mohammeds.

Obama sees Britain as the Britain in the good times, accord with the US in virtually everything and he wants to destroy it. Can’t help it even though he hasn’t realized that the Britain of yesterday has been supplanted. The job has been done for him. If he truly realized that, he’d be helping them eagerly.

The CRS is technically part of the “Legislative” branch but it’s still a federal bureaucracy filled with State Department types—the same people who are deliberately destroying the country. This memo is 100% Beltway Thinking.

I think the same thing. The Brits have capitulated the the muzzies. The bureaucracy is already brown and it is only a matter of time before Parliament is full of them. Then the special relationship will be broken for good.

So has Obama - He just hasn't confirmed it to the public yet.

agreed - and did you notice how much of the article referred fiscal responsibility?

“It also states that the UK’s continued importance to the US will hinge on the future success of the economy – and Chancellor George Osborne’s implementation of spending cuts.”

When David Cameron visited the White House in January, he insisted the President had said the special relationship was ‘stronger than it has ever been’.

And when will Cameron and others learn that the words that come out of the pathological liar Obama's mouth mean nothing. Not a bad bet to assume they mean the opposite of what plain English would indicate.

And he also said the US relationship with Israel is stronger than ever.

Washington and no President before WWI saw England as anything but a cordial nation that would still harm the USA any moment they saw it as best for their interests.
In WWI they were a menace to our shipping before we entered the war.
In the 1920s naval treaty they were regarded as someone that we might fight. While Obama is doing it for communist personal reasons, the “special relationship” silliness plays into the Brit thinking that we are a sort of commonwealth they can influence policy over.
England isn’t an enemy, but they aren’t a friend. I cannot think of a time they have put our interests ahead of their own, , ever. We on the other hand, have for them.

Not surprising... The UK suffers an inbred monarchy, is leaderless, has surrendered to Islamic immigration, and lost its historical compass, values, and virtues. This isn’t the UK of the 20th century or earlier. It should serve as a warning to the US as we accept inferior leadership, surrender our borders to hordes of uneducated people and, worse, to Islamic poison. We standby while our nation, like the UK, is destroyed.

No.
UK won’t be ‘centrally relevant’ to US again
until
UK finishes Transforming itself
into
an IslamoNazi “shire”
in
the World-wide IslamoNazi Caliphate

(ruled by Obama).
One good thing for our British friends, UK appears to be a couple years further down the road (than USA) to becoming an Islamic republic.
Praise All-uh!

Pretty much repeats the stance of the New England states before the Monroe Doctrine, which these idiots also say is over. And that's why Iran's al-Quds are helping the Cuban colony of Venezuela, even as this puny president sharpens the point of his head in Panama and Jamaica.

Trash.

I remember when we used to say that what happens in California eventually spreads and happens to the rest of the country.

In a similar fashion, the UK is our canary in this coal mine and just a bit ahead of US on the timeline.

When the West's military and ideological war against communism/socialism/marxism ended and faded away, we proclaimed our western selves the winners.

But, in fact, our teachers and our elected politicians have slowly rewritten our dictionary and fundamentally transformed the nation out from under us into a somewhat kinder, gentler version of what we once fought so hard against.

Today we don't reinvent the wheel, we re-engineer it!

But...no matter what we tell ourselves, we are all about repeating history's mistakes and relearning its lessons with a naive, arrogant pride that argues "we're the ones we've been waiting for."

Beam me up, Scotty! Please...

Hysterical OTT nonsense.

Britain has not surrendered to Islam (still 96% non Muslim), and whilst it may have lost some values, its not alone in that. The monarchy is stronger than it has been in years. And we still have politicians like Farage, Hannon. And are stronger economically than a few years ago. And god willing in 2017 will be free of the EU. This year may see a right wing govt or right wing coalition in power in the UK. And the people of Scotland kept the British union alive last year.

The UK is healthier than US stories and hysteria might think. We are nor dead, nor will we die for a long time yet.

‘The big disconnect I see now is Britain’s impending defeat to immigration - the immigration of foreign Muslims.’

Oh ffs. Again, for the 10 millionth time, 96% of the UK is still NON Muslim. 92% of it is white. Three parts of the UK are literally almost 99% non Muslim or more, and nearly 99% non ethnic.

‘hasn’t realized that the Britain of yesterday has been supplanted’

No, it hasn’t. And with all respect, what Americans thought was old England/UK and what it was were two different things. Britain was never all bowler hats, London fog, posh people in castles, chirpy cockneys, Highlanders in kilts....

No, we haven’t.

Why do Americans actually think Muslims run Britain?. What % of the population do Americans think they are?.
