Oppressive Taxes and Regulations Killing Upstate New York Economy
Breitbart ^ | 04/11/2015 | Michelle Moons

Oppressive government regulations and taxes beating down Upstate New Yorkers have assaulted the region for years, leaving cities like Binghamton on the path to Detroit-level devastation. However, all is not lost. The hope of prosperity is evidenced in the success of less regulated and prosperous Native American tribe businesses in the state.

The Upstate cities of Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and Binghamton have experienced poverty levels upwards of 30% in 2013, all having increased from 2010 levels, according to U.S. Census data. Detroit sits at a 39.3% poverty rate with Syracuse, Binghamton, and Rochester right behind at levels of 34.6%, 33.3%, and 32.9% respectively.

The one thing upon which they can console themselves is that in Northernmost New York State (aka Ontario province), it’s even worse.

Foul and corrupt politicians supported by a vice ridden society are killing our country. Our grandfather’s and father’s success set up subsequent generations for a life devoted to eating, drinking, drugging, copulating, evacuating the bowels and snoring. There is a slacking of diligence, a worship of sloth and loving of the criminal element. God has probably abandoned us.

These old dying industrial cities have been in a downward spiral for decades. What, if anything, can turn them around? Hillary did a listening tour of upstate New York when she ran for the Senate, and was lauded by the media for her approach.

But, did Hillary as Senator ever do anything that benefitted these depressed upstate New York cities???? Yet she won re-election to the Senate with over 2/3 of the vote statewide.

So all those commercials NY has been running talking about tax credits in an attempt to lure businesses to the state are BS? Thought so.

American Constitutionalist:" Serves them right, they deserve the government they voted in..... Cry me a river..."

BULL PUPPIES !
UpState Conservative communitites are out-voted by NYC DownState Demo-Commies
Why else would 8 communities along the Southern Tier want to seceed from New York , and suggest going to join Pennsylvania ?
Furthermore, why would ALL Republican Senate legislators vote in favor of the State budget that completely funds the SAFE ACT, when they ran on total oppostion to it ?
It passed because nobody read it all, thuroughly ; over 1000 pages.
And yes , there is a backlash comming !

American Constitutionalist :" Feel sorry for conservatives who live in those states."

Thank you for realizing that .. it's difficult to live behind the Liberal lines with Liberal lies .
New York is expieriencing a mass migration out of New York State because of taxation and State imposed regulations.
And Albany just doesn't get it !
Last year , Gov. Cuomo spent $53 Million in national advertizing that "NYS was Open for bussiness"
Do you know what he got for that $53 Million Dollars of our tax money ??
71 new jobs !! HA Ha ha ha !!

A recent TV commercial I saw was trumpeting all kinds of tax breaks for companies willing to move to New York.

I should have clarified my statement, I was referring to liberals who vote in the government they deserve.

Cry me a river if liberals are complaining about being over taxed or oppressive regulations.

Of course I feel sorry for the conservatives who live in liberal states like me...

I recall the north country as a kid looking out from my grandfather Marshall’s camp on Lake Champlain. He owned A.H Marshall Company in Plattsburgh. Straight ahead or 12 O’clock from his main summer camp was Valcour Island and we could see the ferry crossing to Burlington, VT at about 9-10 O’clock direction. The only naval battle of the War of 1812 supposedly was fought in front of my grandfather’s camp. Regardless, the entire upstate NY area was/is full of American history. Ticonderoga was near Albany.I still think about how fortunate I was to be born in such a country where men on both sides of my family had fought in every war since the American Revolution. I guess I am still proud of that CAR card. Just reflecting. Yes, the area has changed from what I hear. I have not been up there since 1970.Perhaps we should say-”No more destruction of this nation’s proud history by libs or anyone.” We are proud of our history and those who are not-leave.”
