Bill Buckley Was Right: America in the Grip of the Liberal Mania
american Spectator ^ | April 9, 2015 | Jeffrey Lord

"...Mr. Buckley would surely not be surprised at the Rolling Stone episode. He described it effectively a full fifty-five years before the story was published, not to mention long before the central participants targeted in the story were even born. Indeed he predicted this kind of story almost a full decade before Rolling Stone — founded in 1967 — existed.

What Buckley knew in 1959 was this:

>>> I shall be assuming that in most respects the liberal ideologists are, like Don Quixote, wholly normal, with fully developed powers of thought, that they see things as they are, and live their lives according to the Word; but that, like Don Quixote, whenever anything touches upon their mania, they become irresponsible. The liberals’ mania is their ideology. Deal lightly with any precept of knighterrantry, and you might find, as so many innocent Spaniards did, the Terror of La Mancha hurtling toward you. Cross a liberal on duty, and he becomes a man of hurtling irrationality.<<<

........So. What to do? Buckley’s suggestion was concise. Understand that the liberal mania is intrinsic to liberalism. They are (my words) like peanut butter and jelly. One cannot be a liberal without brandishing the liberal mania as a political weapon. Every “accretion of power by the state” must not only be resisted by conservatives but in resisting conservatives must understand that in pursuing that goal liberals will quickly become the embodiment of “hurtling irrationality.”

Thus making “the liberal mania” an issue unto itself — if only today’s conservatives are willing to stand up and take it on directly.........

Couple of things here. The true hardcore libs lie. Period. End of story. They know their ideology is corrupt, and they prove it by not giving up their lifestyle to support their agenda.

Then there are the “useful idiots.” They are the ones “hurtling irrationality” because what they have been taught doesn’t have any basis of fact attached to it. And that is the way the hardcores want it.

Finally there are the outright criminals. They are the ones who use liberalism as a tool to cover for their own criminal activities. These are the Harry Reid’s of the world.

Good breakdown.

Liberals advance and scream.

First they advance.
When they meet resistance, they screech like dogs shot by a pellet gun.

Then they advance some more.

July 6, 2011 - J.R. Dunn: Democrats Unveil the Weapon of the Future ".......Last February, newly-elected governor Scott Walker signed a budget containing minor reforms aimed at the public-employees unions. Union members would be required to pay small amounts into their pension and health-care funds. Collective bargaining was curtailed on this and other matters in order to assure that these reforms would remain permanent.

Wisconsin's civil war started then and there. The Democratic senators fled the state to deprive Walker of a quorum. Shortly afterward, tens of thousands of union members -- many imported from out of state -- laid siege to the capitol. They remained for weeks, engaging in vandalism, menacing state officials, and uttering death threats against anyone voting in favor of the reforms.

The bill was finally passed thanks to a clever parliamentary maneuver, only to be set aside by Maryann Sumi, a county judge attempting to punch well above her weight, on procedural grounds. It developed that Judge Sumi was closely entwined with the unions through family connections.

At the same time a campaign to recall Republicans who had voted for Walker's budget was put into motion. (A smaller number of the Democrats who fled were also targeted.) These recall elections are still overhanging the senators.

With the bill headed for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the left next targeted an ordinary state Supreme Court election, importing hundreds of thousands of dollars in an effort to defeat incumbent David Prosser, a centrist conservative, in favor of Joanne Kloppenberg. Thanks to a comically inept local election official, it seemed at first that they had succeeded, but when the smoke cleared, Prosser had won by a healthy 7,000 votes.

And finally, we have the latest purported incident, in which we are asked to believe that Justice Prosser, in the midst of a discussion in the chambers of his liberal opposite number Ann Walsh Bradley, suddenly and apropos of nothing bounded across the room and attempted to strangle her in front of most of the other justices. The man is even worse than Clarence Thomas.

This is an extraordinary series of events, of a type that we haven't witnessed before. Even more singular is the legacy media's insistence on covering the story (with the exception of the siege of Madison, which got the standard "unions unbound" treatment) as if it were commonplace to the point of boredom. It is no such thing; it is an ideological campaign of a magnitude and breadth that we have not seen in quite some time, if ever."..........

What liberals can't stand is the idea that most things are like they are as the natural course of things. Liberals are perpetually looking for "unfairness" and seeking to right wrongs where that don't exist.

Life will never be fair...or unfair. It is what it is. Not good enough for liberals. Because people who are members of the Liberal Clan often fail, it must be somebody else's fault. Of course, it must be evil, racist, homophobic, sexist white people who are causing all this unfairness. It certainly can't be members of the Liberal Clan causing their own problems.

So libs engage in never-ending campaigns to right imaginary wrongs. Forever tilting at windmills. And destroying America in the process.

They advance because the American people believe they are “compassionate” souls even though the popular liberals dispute the existence of a soul.

That’s for sure. HRC is smiling broadly because “Legion” has an insurmountable electoral college majority. Probably unshakeable, but I hope it could be uprooted but don’t expect any breakthrough.

If you remember, Jesus intervened with "Legion" and threw it into a herd of pigs, and then ran the pigs over a cliff and killed them.
