“Maybe nothing bad will get done while power is out. Maybe this should be a permanent thing.”
Exactly what I thought when I heard about it.

...under pressure from the EPA, the District Department of the Environment (DDOE) is finally dealing with the six most toxic sites along the Anacostia, one of which is Pepco’s Benning Road power plant. On February 2, 2011, DDOE announced that it had reached a “consent decree” with Pepco that it believes will address the legacy of pollution at Benning Road...

Remember this story, when a few years down the road we are told this outage deleted a bunch of Barry’s files.

It astonishes me that the White House does not have a UPS in place.

“And these idiots dont even have back-up power systems in their own buildings?”
Power was only out for 10 seconds in the building. That’s about how long it takes the emergency generators to spool up. The diesel engines have to get to a certain rpm before the generator kicks in.

“Homeland Security officials believe an explosion at a SMECO power facility in southern Maryland caused the outages. They say there is no indication of terrorism behind the outages.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest says Homeland Security has indicated they dont currently see a nexus to terrorism or anything like that in the outages.”
Sure, okay. We get nothing but truth from the Obama government. Over 6 years of nothing but truth. LMAO
