I don’t think you are going to hijack this thread like the one you did on Friday.
I would actually view that as a positive act.
That shows far more self-control and delayed gratification than most of today’s recipients who blow it all in a few days then are “poor” until the next check.
First of all, there was no hijacking of that thread - it was a discussion on opposing viewpoints. You are an intolerant person - and secondly, I made a very valid point about the use of our tax dollars. And, so if the truth hurts, so be it. I would love some say in how our tax dollars are spent - but, we have no control over that - sadly. It just isn’t the food stamps, which so many on here are quick to jump on, because they seem to think poor people have to eat sh**. Yes, there is waste and fraud in that program, but you name me one program where this isn’t happening. Just one!!!!
Thank you for clarifying this for the low-information conservatives.
Good heavens - the guy has some serious illnesses, and probably won’t live long, and you are ragging on the fact that he eats lobster tail and steak? Good lands - some on here are ridiculous. They aren’t married, so, I’m assuming he gets disability - which qualifies him on HIS income - not hers. However, I think they are supposed to report all household income - I say - let the guy eat his steak and lobster tail - it doesn’t sound like he will be around very long/
Frankly, you have no idea as to whether or not I am an “intolerant person”. I do not appreciate the name-calling. Start your own thread if you want to derail the conversation to other examples of waste and fraud.
Then why do you have a vendetta against the poor? And, don’t try to tell me what to do, that’s just more of intolerance on your part and evidence of a controlling nature.
I heard on Boston radio this week that the schools in Massachusetts are pushing free breakfast for the kids. Parents who haven’t signed up for free breakfast as nudged as to why they haven’t. The schools get money from Washington for every school meal so they are trying to get all the kids to sign on.
He actually is now cancer free after several months of treatments. As a couple they live pretty well, and accepting food stamps is an insult to those of us who have to pay for this stuff. I don't care if he's not married to her or not, they're a household... and taking handouts in that situation is wrong.
No one should have their labor stolen from them by the government to give to another to buy votes, either. Nothing in the US Constitution allows for welfare.
I was purchasing dog food and ground beef at a local grocery store many years ago. The cashier asked if I had a dog. I told her no. I run the dry dog food through a food processor and mix it into the ground beef and it stretches it over several meals.
She gave me the strangest look and didn’t say much else for the rest of the transaction.
