Saw that - which is why LSM only reporting angle is the white officer.
What I was guessing concerned a characteristic of the shooter, not the victim.

There’s more to this story. It’s absolutely missing something. No criminal is stupid enough to pull up so close to a police car and shoot someone who laughed at him.
The criminal who shot the driver was either extremely drunk or just plain crazy.
There were THREE males in the car. Still... not quite enough of an advantage for them to feel comfortable confronting a woman and her child without using a gun.
I also have decided to stop any horn honks or any gestures when driving. It’s just too dangerous now.

Maybe. My salary comp database says that a starting salary for a bus driver in the LA area is around $55K per year - that of course doesn’t include OT and benefits. Also no mention in the article if she was married.
Then again cars like Mercedes and BMW’s, Lexus, etc., are often leased. But with 4-6 year lease terms available now, and assuming she had decent credit and put some money down, a grand or two, the monthly payment on a C Class Mercedes is within reach if you don’t mind paying around $400 a month for one.
