New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) announced on Tuesday that he is banning all non-essential state-funded travel to Indiana in response to a state law that critics say would allow businesses to deny service to gay people.

"Today, I direct all agencies, departments, boards and commissions to immediately review all requests for state funded or state sponsored travel to the State of Indiana and to bar any such publicly funded travel that is not essential to the enforcement of state law or public health and safety,” Cuomo said in a statement.

Cuomo must of gotten jealous of all the press CT Gov Malloy has received. Dunkin Donuts Christie has been keeping a low profile on this.

SO, if you are a straight person who works for New York, They won't fund your workshop in Indiana.

Now, who is getting discriminated against?

So I take it NY state isn’t in the 20+ states that already have this law on their books too?

I mean, the same law that Bill Clinton signed into law at the Federal level in 1993?

I wish NY would ban it to southern states too.

Will he ban state workers from traveling next door to Connecticut, where they have the same statute? What about the NY state workers who live there? Will he order them to sell their homes and leave?

Why should there be any non-essential travel?

Alinksy all the way. They picked a target, froze it, personalized it.

Not sure why the left wins on absolutely everything absolutely every single time, always, on everything.

But they do. It is proof to me that this is Satan's time.

Did I miss the outrage over Saudi Arabia? These same entities travel and trade there.
Did I miss the outrage over moslem cab drivers in Minneapolis/SP refusing fares who have a dog, have alcohol, etc?

all non-essential state-funded travel

I am sure the New York taxpayers would like to hear about the other type and how much it is costing them.

Actually, Connecticut’s statute is even more protective of religious belief/praxis/sentiment than Indiana’s, and therefore in the sight of the rabid left ought to be even worse. It lacks the adverb “substantially” modifying “burden”.

I just realized something. All of these bans mean the places doing them will have to move events elsewhere. Most likely Vegas or some resort. Would be funny if the only places they could easily find to replace them would be in St. Louis.

I read that in another thread. My comment there applies here; this whole situation is proof that we live in the USSR where the media is controlled by one party. The truth is irrelevant, there isn’t even a sham of objectivity. It’s all about the revolution.

I rise in support of New York. In fact, because I want to help, I make a motion that the State of New York ban ALL of its residents from leaving New York.
