Hillary’s emails: Deleted but not gone
Politico ^ | 3/30/14 | JOSEPH MARKS and RACHAEL BADE

The emails Clinton says she deleted from her personal server may still be recoverable.

As House Republican leaders weigh whether to try to force former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to hand over her personal email server, experts say the messages she deleted from it — or at least portions of them — can almost certainly be recovered.

Half a dozen computer forensics experts interviewed by POLITICO said remnants of Clinton’s emails likely still exist on the server, although retrieving them could be time intensive and expensive.

What would happen to anyone else who “erased” their hard-drives knowing “authorities” would want them?

Why doesn’t someone get a warrant and just seize the server? The heck with all this “pretty please” stuff.

Recipients’ of emails from her could also be revealing and allow for cross-checking on what’s missing from her server.

Also, there must have been backups. Everybody backs up files. Where are they, who did them, and what happened to them?

Exactly.
If it were any of us, we’d have had our door bashed in, our families flash banged, and our pets ventilated by now.

So it might be retrieving them could be time intensive and expensive. What the hell. The Government is spending like hell on stupid thing that don't mean a crap.

Gowdy is not going to get the server and even if he did it will be confiscated by King Obama by executive order.

Here is a comprehensive list of all of the places where you can no doubt get copies of all of Hilary Clinton’s e-mails:

The wikipedia page has links. Just send out an-email blast and see who responds.

Hard drives are actually cheap and easy to replace.

Virtually all the news stories state that Hillary erased. Does anyone having an inkling as to whether the emails were merely deleted or has all free space on the server been overwritten one or more times?

-——Recipients’ of emails ——

We do not presently know from whom or how many such e mails currently reside in Goudy’s files.

Perhaps the King of Saudi Arabia or a pissed off ambassador, or a disgruntled career diplomat sent the congressman who knows what.

My guess is that 4 or 5 really juicy arrogant e mails would do the trick

Gowdy's beginning to look like part of the game. For the elite in DC, politics is just musical chairs among them.

There's no reason those servers and computers aren't in government hands. Isn't what she did tampering with evidence?

It is my understanding that Trey Gowdy does not have the authority to confiscate the server. He can subpoena records, but not private property. Certainly the argument can be made that the private property may contain the records, but that would require a federal judge to then subpoena the server. Where in DC would you find a judge willing to buck this administration?

The server hard drive will be destroyed before anyone gets their hands on it, if it isn’t already.

Does anyone think Gowdy is going to show his hand or project what he has or doesn’t have? Pretty sure he is smart enough to let her twist in the wind just as long as he can.
