The state of Massachusetts gave the University of Massachusetts $5 million, earmarked for the Institute. As a senator in 2010, current Sec. of State John Kerry waged an unsuccessful attempt to earmark another $28.9 million for the museum

...

the $18.9 million Defense Department earmark was “funneled through the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.” That panel was once led by Kennedy pals, the late Hawaii Sen. Daniel Inouye and the late Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens,

Haven’t heard about the shrine until now. I assume its a monument of a car that drove off a bridge under water with a young woman drowning and 100 million aborted babies floating on the surface, most of them black.

Let me guess, nary a peep from the GOP when these funds were ‘appropriated’; you’d think it was the GOVT’s $$ instead of the taxpayers’.

Use your own friggin’ cash, Kennedy clan!

Kennedy still trying to find ways to gouge us. Few politicians were more destructive to America in the 20th century than Kennedy.

Ted Kennedy’s foul career cost the US taxpayer trillions of dollars, cost hundreds of millions of people (some of) their freedom, and cost Mary Jo Kopechne her life.

Thanks...If this was under most any other administration it would be unbelievable but not under _resident 0bama.

Spend $38M to honor a lowlife scum and turn around and propose a 20% reduction for Military Retirements. Pathetic.

I could have built a Ted Kennedy Shrine for about $10. Detailed breakdown:

  1. Matchbook sized replica of 1967 Oldsmobile: $4.95
  2. 10 oz. liquor glass: $1.95
  3. 6 oz. of Vodka at the local watering hole: $3.00.

Submerge car front down in the vodka and voila!

A lot more than the Kennedy’s paid Jo Kopechne’s family ($250,000 and in today’s dollars: $1,592,335)

“The stated mission of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute is to teach the general public about how the U.S. Senate works, so it’s fitting that the shrine to the late Massachusetts Democrat is funded, in part, by $38 million in taxpayers’ money.”

LMAO....here is how it works.....Senator A will vote for Senator B’s pet project that will reap him multi-million dollar kickbacks if Senator B will vote for Senator A’s pet projects. They all use taxpayer money to line their own pockets.

That $38 million is chicken feed compared to what else he has cost America.

The jury is still out as to whether what Fat Teddy "accomplished" will cost us our survival as a Constitutional Republic. It isn't just Mary Jo who he drove off the bridge into the dark and deadly waters. It's all of us.
