If he played his political cards right he could have blamed “right wing extremists” and the NRA, Catholic Church, etc...thus helping the left causes.
Might be a factor in all his reasons for not running again - he’s probably more afraid of the mob types than he is our legals system.
But his ribs were broken as well...figure that?

I think I covered this. Why pay hush money when, at the snap of your fingers, you can any number of law enforcement agencies put the person in jail. This is just silly speculation based on NO evidence.

I’m inclined to agree with you, but there is not a shred of evidence that any particular person did either.
I have no doubt that he was beaten up. Exercise machines are not known for delivering this type of beating as usually they are passive machines. The only other explanation for these horrendous injuries is he was hitting the vodka too hard.
