San Francisco mayor bans publicly-funded travel to Indiana

San Francisco prides itself as a tolerant place, but it is closed off to one thing: Indiana.

On Thursday, San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee, a Democrat, directed all City Departments under his authority to bar publicly funded travel to the Hoosier State.

The decision followed Indiana Republican Gov. Mike Pence’s decision to sign a “religious freedom” bill that critics say effectively sanctions discrimination of LGBT citizens by private businesses.

“We stand united as San Franciscans to condemn Indiana’s new discriminatory law,” Lee said in a statement.

“San Francisco taxpayers will not subsidize legally-sanctioned discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people by the State of Indiana.”

Does this ban also include the other 19 states that ALREADY have this law?

Or is this just another lib seeking "TOLERANCE!" through intolerance of others viewpoints?

Granted that this is just the latest Outrage Du'Jour for the MSNBC/DailyKos crowd, but where does it end?

I’m sure that Indiana will not miss a busload of queers, freaks and perverts .... maybe NY will get lucky instead.

Liberals are always “tolerantly intolerant.” Do they even know what the word “tolerance” means?

Couldja ban privately funded trips from SF, too? That would be a big help.

Notice that the media and leftists are already creating the narrative. "Discrimination." There is nothing discriminatory about Indiana's bill, but yet this will be the rallying cry and now activist federal judges are going to strike down the law under false pretentious.

Republicans have got to do a better job at framing the narrative.

Indiana should reciprocate and then disinvest in any company that does business in San Francesspool.

More than 30 states have some form of similar law.

31 states have heightened religious freedom protections

Indiana needs to ban fags from San Fernasco from coming into their state. Even if they use their own money instead of traveling on the taxpayers’ dime.

Yeah I was about to say most states probably don’t want you there anyway. You’re such drama queens and you’re always a victim. Just put up a fence around San Fran and go ahead and turn it into Sodom & Gomorrah II. We’ll make sure its on Google maps so ISIS can find it...

The ‘Gay Mafia’ of San Fransisco is bringing the state of Indiana under their homosexual scrutiny due the Final Four being held in Indianapolis.

The Homo Lobby is clamoring for attention and ESPN is reciprocating....no surprise....plenty of homos at ESPN.

Edwin Lee’s city depends heavily on tourism. It is a huge generator of jobs and tax income. His boycott of all things Indiana is a double edged sword. How about folks from Indiana as well as all political conservatives throughout the US boycotting San Francisco.

The First Amendment only applies to them. Their speech, their press, their associations. Notice I didn’t say “their religion” because these Godless hypocrites don’t have one.

A nationwide Christian boycott of San Fransisco could have real impact.
