Unlike Obama, you cannot find speeches from a year or two ago that diametrically contradict speeches he gave last week.

Given what we have seen with Obama, that someone has an appealing persona and can give a great speech is no assurance they will be a successful President.
The comparison is a valid one.

Well if you consider Obama is a hard core leftist bitch devoted to lying and scheming his way in opposition to all that is good, fair and just, and consider Cruz is the 100% opposite of that; a Godly, conservative, true American hero who loves America, then yeah.
Both are extreme examples of their craft.
A better comparison would be between Obama and a teleprompter.
The resumes are completely opposite. Cruz has a list of accomplishments a mile long.

Be careful friend because the Cruzers will accuse you of being a RINO for not supporting him. I want the whole field to declare so we can get the debates going so we can weed out the pretenders and start to vett the contenders.
You make a fair point... he may not be on the ballot. But it will be because the GOP establishment criminals will do everything possible to destroy him (often in coordination with Democrats). Pretty damn sad...
