Good evening, Pro, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Just about a half hour ago she scraped the heck off the side of a coffee table. Other than some wall and door jamb scrapings, she is doing really well. The hardest thing we are trying to work out now is how best to get out of it and into her chair in the living room, and then getting out of her chair and back into the wheelchair. That is proving to be a major problem. I had to go rescue her a bit ago. She needs something to hang onto, but what? But I think this will be really good once we figure it out.

Watched another opera Video tonight, on the life of Verdi.
ALL the Opera excerpts were done on the same stupid, dreary set that looked like an abandoned apartment in Detroit.
All the costumes were big, dirty, black overcoats that looked like rejects from the Goodwill Store.
Why do they feel they have to do this to opera? This is the third video I have rented in which the sets have post-modern, industrial, monochromatic, dismal, anachronistic sets and costumes.
“Carmen” should be in a sun-drenched Spanish Town, “La Traviata” in the Salons of Paris, Brunhilda in buxom armor and a winged helmet in the brooding Teutonic mountains, and Aida in Ancient Egypt.
Creative set and costume design DOES NOT mean dumbing it down and celebrating ugliness!
Grrrrrrrr.
