RENO, Nev. -- Hundreds of LGBT supporters marched through downtown Reno Saturday afternoon for northern Nevada's Pride Parade, where for one nine-year-old, it was a place to express who she really is.
"I really like sleepovers and make up parties and tea parties," Cee Cee Ott, 9, said.
It wasn't always like that for Ott. Cee Cee was born Conrad.
"We didn't see the transgender come out until she was about three. It didn't really start hitting that she wanted to wear her sister's clothes, she wanted to wear wigs," said Shanna Ott, her parent.
It became a struggle for Cee Cee to wake up every day as someone she knew she wasn't.

Kids are impressionable. This is child abuse, no different than child rape. But our society says it’s normal.
I suppose this child is using the girl’s bathroom also. What will happen to this poor kid?
I guess the mother will push to start hormone treatment at some point and then what, when would the mother decide on the time for the rest of the surgery?

In any event, no, the kid won't have a ‘normal’ life because they're not letting them have a ‘normal’ life. No close friends because of the ‘secret’ that he has a penis and likes girls clothes? I feel for his likely short and tragic life, and hope that his father steps in, seizes custody, and set things right again.
I honestly don't care if he likes to wear girls clothes and have long hair. He can use the boy's bathroom just like every other boy in the school. And I honestly don't think many of his classmates would give a rip either - sure there’d be some teasing, but that's normal social behavior and development.
But I betcha that this ‘parent’ is eager to start him on treatments to delay puberty. Can't have her little man growing up...
they only have anecdote stories which are used to imply this is a common mental illness.
Look for some sort of transgender political move in the near future.
