If Obama went to somewhere more modest, how much would that save?

I am not defending his vacation choices, but if the difference between camping out at some small lake or vacationing in London England was only $50,000 or so, is it worth noting?

How much of the bill is due to just being President?

Has anyone totaled how much these grifters have extorted from the taxpayers for all their parties, vacations and what not in the last 6+ years? I'll bet it's the equivalent of a small country's GDP.

According to the IRS, isn’t that considered “income”?

If not it sure as hell should be and they should be taxed for it and all the other boon doggles they have taken.

The number of vacations they have taken is unquestionably the bigger issue.

The average American family spent $4,580 on Christmas in 2014.

Gee, I sure wish my family was average, we didn’t
even spend a tenth of that. It was a good christmea
though as my mom is still with us.

“The average American family spent $4,580 on Christmas in 2014. “

WTF? We might have spent $450. bucks on food and presents during the week between Christmas and New Years.

“How much of the bill is due to just being President?”

Well like my Dad said of the Great Depression... A man went out on Christmas Eve and fired off a shotgun. Came in and told his kids that there would be no presents this year, as Santa had just committed suicide.

We didn’t have a lot of money for gifts last year. Just a couple each for the kids, and Christmas dinner. Nothing fancy. Certainly no money for travel. About $300. Parasites.

How about going home to Chicago? Other Presidents go home for their Christmas, or they go to Camp David. Only Clinton had to go somewhere extravagent because they had no home.

That would be fine, but how much of a difference would that be after their entourage and other expenses that come with moving about?

It’s cheaper to fly from DC to Chicago than it is to fly from DC to Hawaii. And most of his entourage lives in Chicago too, so it would be just a home trip for them.

Camp David would be even cheaper. That’s where the Reagans went.

For my wife’s birthday this year, I got her a $1. stuffed monkey at Dollar Tree. Stupid ass monkey doll, but she understood. Millions of dollars saved.

$206,337.00 per hour

If a 747 really cost this much to fly, a coast-to-coast plane ticket would have to be at least $3000 for the airlines to break even.

That is the cost for AF 1 and all of the extras. AF 1 isn’t one plane. It is always 2 planes — the real one and a decoy.Plus, he probably takes a couple of cars. And lots of SS, and advance team, and a mop up team.
