IG Audit: 6.5 Million People With Active Social Security Numbers Are 112 or Older

This is something that even Obambi and ilk can't parse away. Massaging some numbers may work for some things, but irrefutable facts by the IG are rarely argued and have resulted in change in past years. I think this has legs.

I believe if the GOPe (not conservatives) don't try to make illegal aliens the focal point, they may get somewhere with this. Granted illegals are probably the main culprits, but like someone stated above, Americans also abuse it by not notifying the SS Admin of parents' deaths and cashing the checks.

Pass legislation that mostly focuses on that and that the SS trust fund has been so abused it would be difficult for Obambi to veto. Also point out that SS will be out of funds in the future. Stopping this fraud can help in a small way.

Send this to every Congresscritter and Media outlet.

Whether you agree or not about Social Security, always remember it was money taken out of tax-paying American and legal residents' paychecks and thus earned. It is NOT an entitlement program.

BTW, this is one bureaucracy that I wouldn't mind paying some additional personnel to investigate such fraud and just eliminate those millions from the roles. But then, what do those temporary personnel do after the fix? Oh right, they transfer to some other menial non-essential position since Fedgov employees never lose their jobs. Belay my last.

However, this could be a major "talking point" for presidential contenders (conservatives of course) who stand for reduced Fedgov largess. Support who you will, but I'm hoping Walker and/or Cruz will address the fraud and waste in the bloated Fedgov as a reason to reduce it. This is THE perfect example.
