. Natural gas development supports hundreds of thousands of jobs, contributes $34.7 billion annually to the state economy and has boosted profits in more than 1,300 businesses of all sizes up and down the energy supply chain.

The bottom line is all that money and employment is in Western and Central Pennsylvania, none of it in or around Philadelphia, and very little of it involves union labor.

Wolf will only do what his corrupt handlers in Philly and the Union bosses tell him to do.

The Marcellus Shale businesses the best thing that has happened in Western Pa since Andrew Carnegie, and Wolf is trying to kill it.

This state has repeatedly lent credence to the old adage about its being hard to lose money betting on the stupidity of the average voter.

Plus, whoever upthread characterized Corbett as a 'slug' had it about right .. such were our execrable choices last time.

If they continue to raise tax's on the oil and gas industry...Ohio's Governor is courting every one of them and they will indeed go there, just as they left NY State and came to Pa.

These Politicians think they can target this industry indefinitely but they will simply go where they are welcomed...and there are plenty of states willing to have them.

We'd do far better just cutting out the over-sized Representatives from our bloated Capital. It's ridiculous what we pay for such so many unnecessary representatives.

I realize that a new Democrat governor talking about jacking up taxes is a dog bites man story, but this one could prove to be particularly disastrous for Pennsylvania citizens. First of all, as you’ll read in the linked article above, even Wolf’s own allies are saying that his numbers don’t add up.

Both the PA house and senate are held by pubbies {such that they are... weak, spineless} pubbies none the less.

If my taxes get raised, it will be because the pubbies pass the new laws needed to raise them.

I've already talked with my congresscritters and both have assured me that they will not vote to raise taxes.
