An estimated 1,500 protesters marched on the Capitol Monday to demonstrate against a white police officer killing an unarmed, 19-year-old black man.
Madison police say Officer Matt Kenny fatally shot Tony Robinson on Friday after a scuffle inside an apartment, during which the officer was injured.
According to police, Kenny was responding to a call that someone was jumping in and out of traffic and may have been involved in a beating. Robinson went inside an apartment, and Kenny forced his way into the apartment after he heard a disturbance inside, then shot Robinson after Robinson attacked him.

It might also be worth mentioning that 900 people a year are killed by unarmed people using their fists and their feet. And that 15% of murdered police are killed with their own weapons after being disarmed by an unarmed person.
