The latest version of a top-selling study guide for the Advanced Placement European History exam explains the French Revolution with a chart which identifies Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as a fascist and pairs him with the Ku Klux Klan.
Barrons AP European History (7th edition) makes the claim, intended for consumption by American high school students, on page 168. The chart attempts to compare modern American political affiliations with the various factions involved in the French Revolution.
The chart moves politically from left to right.
The far right of the chart is labeled fascist. The authors demonstrate modern-day fascists by pairing Clarence Thomas and the KKK in the same box.
Barrons typifies the far right during the French Revolution with wealthy people who fled France.

The Terror was pretty much just that, and being beheaded is no more attractive just because someone is using a guillotine instead of a Ginsu.
When the class envy crowd breaks loose in the US after the dollar dies, we'll all get a taste of that sort of mess or defend ardently against it.

Neo-Communism on proud display.
Employing Stalinist revisionist history tactics.
Demonizing the political opposition.
Besmirching a justice of the Supreme Court.
Recall how the Commie Left said it was horrific of Sen. McCarthy to dare question the patriotism of those working inside the State Department.

So, Clarence Thomas appears to want the KKK back?
Barron’s has jumped the shark.

When the class envy crowd breaks loose in the US after the dollar dies, we'll all get a taste of that sort of mess or defend ardently against it. Communists like Ted Rall have longed for the day that CEOs are lynched from light posts. If you read the rantings of the far Left, this is their wet dream.

Probably characterize the War Between the States here thus (as heard from a HS Student): "Wasn't that where the good guys wore blue and the bad guys wore gray and the good guys won?"
Make what you will of the characterizations, but the 'understanding' was lacking, even by today's distorted standards.

Good God! Is there any actual education anymore? Or is it all just indoctrination and brainwashing? I don’t have much hope left for the future of this country, I swear. This kind of crap is everywhere in the schools. It’s so d@mned sad. I’m glad I don’t have a child in the schools. It would drive me crazy.

The leftists aren’t the only ones who can use a rope. If we enter a period of significant incivility in this country, I’d wager every town will have at least one pock-marked wall.

It gets difficult when your child, by virtue of research, a quality school, or homeschooling, has an understanding of issues and events in our past greater than their teachers, and that means it will likely not be in alignment with the official indoctrination.
I predict it will become very difficult to do well on standardized tests if you really know your stuff.

I am surely not the only one curious how the actual SAT is treating such subjects. This might be an attempt to follow the SAT’s known sentiments or it might be someone getting their own rocks off at Barron’s.

OK this is not the SAT but another test... still I wonder if this is just echoing what the ETS (?) actually does.
