I think you mean UKIP.
The BNP are not streong; in fact quite the opposite having split acrimoniously when Nick Griffin was ousted. Similarly the EDL has suffered a major drop in popularity with equally divisive splitting of the ranks into smaller splinter groups. Perhaps you are thinking of UKIP, who have been attracting support from many disparate elements of the political spectrum.
I know Nigel Farage and UKIP. I was talking about BNP. I said “as strong as they are” meaning exactly that. They should be about as relevant as the KKK and Skinheads are in the US. Just that I know anything about them, and you know so much, proves they’re more relevant than they should be. And it’s because UK has been taken over by Jihadists.
No, they really are not relevant, at all. Consider their candidate list for the May election and its last leaked membership list, from January of this year, which comprised of just over 500 souls, down from 4,200 two years ago.
And no, we haven’t been ‘taken over by Jihadists’. This type of glib generalisation adds nothing to the otherwise important debate around those British muslims making their way through Turkey to their perceived land of milk and honey. Personally speaking, I would encourage them to leave. Better there than here. Let them join their American, French, Danish, Belgian and other colleagues. It is good that they are all gathering in a well defined and eminently targetable area.
