Holder Frames Ferguson PD For Racism Using Bogus 'Disparate Impact' Stats

03/05/2015

Racial Politics: Unable to pin racism charges on Ferguson policeman Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown, Attorney General Eric Holder is using half-baked data to manufacture a case of racism against his entire police force.

Holder's race-baiting civil rights crew combed through several years of Ferguson Police Department data on traffic stops, searches and arrests and "found a pattern of racial disparities in Ferguson's police activities."

"African Americans are overrepresented in FPD's vehicular stops" and victims of "racial bias," Holder concludes in his report.

He notes that blacks accounted for 85% of vehicle stops, "despite comprising only 67% of Ferguson's population," while whites made up 15% of stops, despite representing 29% of the population.

So there you have it, a slam-dunk case of racism, right? Hardly.

Outrageously, the nation's top prosecutor failed to control for factors that explain the racial "disparity" in traffic stops, such as speeding, DUI, expired license plates, headlight, seat-belt and child-restraint violations and other reasons for being pulled over.

Holder's own department statistics show that African Americans, on average, violate speeding and other traffic laws at much greater rates than whites.

The Justice Department's research arm, the National Institute of Justice, explains that differences in traffic stops can simply be attributed to "differences in offending."

BREAKING: Ferguson Cops Reply To Eric Holder’s #FergusonReport

Former cop Dan Jackson, brother of Ferguson chief of police Tom Jackson, has replied to Eric Holder’s press report on Ferguson.

Jackson sent the following via text at approximately 5 PM Missouri time.

DOJ’s “disturbing pattern” noise about Ferguson PD is fabricated, based on their own made-up parameters that would never stand in court. The actual legitimate racial profiling states collected by MO attorney general show that Ferguson is better than the state average and has been improving over the last 3 years. DOJ did not use that (publicly available) info because it did not suit Holder’s vindictive “sweeping change” agenda.

Why only Ferguson?

WATCH KEVIN JACKSON PISS OFF A HARVARD PROFESSOR FOR CALLING HIM A HARVARD PROFESSOR!

Conservative Kevin Jackson really got under the skin of a Harvard professor for challenging his understanding of the Ferguson report by pointing out that Eric Holder is completely ignoring other jurisdictions that have a much worse problem with raising revenue through police interdiction.

Those are "white man's laws".

It has been shown time and time again that the reason more black people are stopped, arrested, covicted, and sent to prison is because they commit more crimes.

I would love to see the Furgeson, MO police force quit entirely and move away. Let the poor downtrodden black folks have their town. Since we hear so little of aanyone else in town standing up for the cops, they must agree with the black community.
Here, it’s yours. You fix it.

The flip side of racial profiling is racial behavior. It is not racist to say that blacks commit more crimes, because it is not because they are black.

It is because there is a lack of an authority figure in most black families. If you took statistics on crime rates of children of mother-only single parent families, I think that there would be much less disperity between black and white rates.

Really, what is being profiled is people who have lived under the welfare state. Blacks just happen to be the largest recipients. The state encouraged more children (more $$) less male responsibility, less desire to work for a living, etc, etc.

Racism is not at the root of the problem, the welfare state is.

I love it. Now if only individuals would get on the ball and commit crimes according to their racial percentage represented in the population.

Surprise: CNN Reports ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’ is Based on Falsehood

By Matthew Balan | March 6, 2015 | 11:31 PM EST

On Friday, CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 surprisingly spotlighted that the “hands up, don’t shoot” narrative and chant forwarded by many left-wing supporters of Michael Brown’s family is grounded in falsehoods. Correspondent Sara Sidner cited a recent Justice Department report that underlined that the mantra is “inconsistent with the physical and forensic evidence” and that “witnesses have acknowledged their initial accounts were untrue.” [video below]

Host Anderson Cooper led into Sidner’s segment by touting that the DOJ report “uncovered...racist e-mails...[and] schemes for, essentially, shaking down citizens – disproportionately African-American citizens...through fines and tickets and harassment.” He continued by outlining how prevalent “hands up, don’t shoot” became. He even referenced the biased moment where three CNN analysts made the accompanying pose on the air in December 2014:

ANDERSON COOPER: As you know, ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ became the rallying cry in the wake of the Michael Brown shooting. Protesters chanted it on Ferguson streets. They shouted it in New York, and in cities big and small across the country. A number of CNN commentators sympathized with protesters along those lines. Professional athletes sparked controversy with the phrase. Members of the St. Louis Rams taking the field with their hands up – echoing what many believed Michael Brown did – that he had his hands up and was surrendering when Darren Wilson shot him. Many believed that; many still do. Justice Department investigators, though – they do not.

Sidner summarized the relevant parts of the Justice Department report. She also zeroed in on how some protesters, as well as Michael Brown’s family, still cling to the false narrative:

SARA SIDNER (voice-over): What really happened the final moments of Michael Brown’s life? The Justice Department investigation makes it clear: the evidence does not support the mantra still being used by some protesters. (clip of protesters chanting, “Hands up; don’t shoot” outside the White House)

Instead, the Department of Justice found that is – quote, ‘inconsistent with the physical and forensic evidence;’ and in some cases, ‘witnesses have acknowledged their initial accounts were untrue;’ or witness accounts were not credible – including the witness closest to Brown when it happened – Brown’s friend, Dorian Johnson, whose words helped spark the mantra.

Obama THREATENS Ferguson officials: Partner with Justice Dept. or GET SUED

Posted by soopermexican on Mar 6, 2015

President Buzzfeed is going around the country to shore up his collapsing presidency, but one of the ways in which he can do that is more race mongering. Today he issued a threat to the Ferguson Police Department and City, saying that if they do not partner with the Department of Justice, they will get sued for violating the Civil Rights of its citizens.

Communism is. Go back to the 60s and Soviet influence on American society.

Obama Backs DOJ Decision Not To Indict Ferguson Officer

The DOJ report indicates witnesses were reluctant to come forward with information that might contradict the prevailing social narrative.

President Barack Obama stated Friday that he backs the Department of Justice’s decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown. He told an audience at the historically all black Benedict College in South Carolina: “Officer Wilson, like anybody who is charged with a crime, benefits from due process and a reasonable-doubt standard.” He added: “And if there is uncertainty about what happened, then you can’t just charge him anyway just because what happened was tragic.”

One of the findings in the 86 page report regarding the incident is that several of the witnesses felt significant public pressure not to contradict the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” narrative. The report noted that witnesses feared for their physical safety if they said anything publicly in support of Darren Wilson.

As reported by Breitbart, “Witness 103—a 58-year-old black male—expressed concerns because there were signs in the neighborhood of Canfield Drive stating, ‘snitches get stitches.’” According to Breitbart, the report found that six of the most credible witnesses in support of Wilson were afraid of what their neighbors would think.
