...Republicans aren’t an idealogical monolith like the Demwits are often (and often accurately) purported to be, i.e., Demwits are party-first, and Republicans think for themselves. :’)...

While I agree with you completely, there are times when Republicans should recognize when they are in a firefight that may alter the course of history so badly that their scrupulousness and inidividuality is helping bring about the Constitution's destruction. It's not just Democrats under 50 who have been bathed in media and marxism most of their lives; it's also Republicans who get into office. And many wishy-washy fence-straddlers call themselves Republican just to run against a Dem incumbent, but have no firm principles. I despair over the educational deficit.

All Republican leaderships, federal, state and local, should hire some effective trainers who can give all newcomers (and many of the incumbent R's) a course in the Declaration, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, so as to codify the Official Default Position. To those who want to dismiss all that as outdated, the party should enforce a policy of "when in conflict or in doubt, the Democrats are strongly opposed or the issue is expensive or radical, assume the Default Position."

Logically we should have gotten polygamy first, close to maybe backing down legal ages of consent to biblical precedents. But that is talking about logical evolution of law.

The spiritual forces gathered behind the buggerers, however. That is hate in a “love” wrapping. The devil always speeds along hate.

"Only a military Dictatorship can reset the Republic. The sooner the better."

The Founding Fathers attained independence without creating a military dictatorship.

But they had to use military might to gain that independence, is the point here, I believe.

Correct, but not a dictatorship of same. We did have the Continental Congresses in charge rather than the Continental Army.

I wholeheartedly agree; the other factor is what the late Democrat Tip O said, that all politics is local. Issues among constituencies vary greatly in importance. Here in western Michigan we have de facto Democrats who run as Republicans because in most places a Democrat can’t get elected. Most recently that list includes Justin Amash — another LINO and RINO and CINO.

Things that would help include supporting instead of continuous undermining of the Speaker, who would then be able to get the votes needed on both sides of the aisle. That’s an obvious problem, and one that is hand-waved away around here.

When the Contract With America Congress was being sworn in in 1995, Rush was there and told them, basically, to dance with the one whut brung ya. Instead, the miserable demagogue Newt made into a priority rule changes that allowed everyone to “vote their conscience” — ridiculous, because politicians don’t have one. What they have is a craven fear of loss of power, and greed for the perks (graft) that accompany elected office (not just here, in every political system). The fact that he made that the priority, instead of the stated agenda, disqualifies him from elected office as far as I’m concerned.

About the only thing that congress accomplished was temporarily balancing the budget.

Similarly, the Bush tax cuts were also temporary, thanks to Congress. Idiotic.
