As negotiations over a deal with Iran continue, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived in the United States ahead of his address to a joint session of Congress Tuesday night.
A senior Israeli official told reporters on Netanyahu's flight that Congress could be "the last brake" for stopping a nuclear deal with Iran.Saying it was Israel's impression that members of Congress "do not necessarily know the details of the deal coming together, which we do not see as a good deal," the official said Netanyahu in his speech would give a detailed explanation of his objections to an Iran deal.
House Speaker John Boehner extended the speaking invitation to Netanyahu earlier this year without consulting the White House, prompting boycotts of his speech by the Congressional Black Caucus and a number of liberal Democrats. Last week former ambassador to the United Nations and current White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice claimed publicly that Netanyahu's speech, which is expected to be focused on the threat of a nuclear Iran, will be "destructive to the fabric" of the U.S.-Israeli relationship.
During his visit, Netanyahu will not be hosted by President Obama at the White House and has turned down an invitation to meet with Senate Democrats. Vice President Joe Biden will not attend the speech and Secretary of State John Kerry will be in Geneva for meetings.
Meanwhile, Speaker Boehner continues to stand by his decision to invite Netanyahu and said yesterday on CBS' Face the Nation that tickets to the speech are in high demand.
The demand for seats in the House, the demand for tickets Ive never seen anything like it. Everybody wants to be there. What I do wonder, is why the White House feels threatened because the Congress wants to support Israel, and wants to hear what a trusted ally has to say? And its been frankly remarkable to me the extent to which, over the last five or six weeks, the White House has attacked the Prime Minister, attacked me, for wanting to hear from one of our closes allies," Boehner said. "The threat coming from Iran and the Iranians having a nuclear weapon is a threat to the region, its a threat to the United States, and its a threat to the rest of the world. This is a serious issue and were not going to resolve this issue by sticking our heads in the sand. The prime minister can talk about this threat, I believe, better than anyone. And the United States Congress wants to hear from him, and so do the American people.

boner should give the overflow people the seats that the demonRATs didn't use on the floor of congress, that would set their hair on fire.
It is, after all, the people's house. We own those damn desks and chairs.
“........Netanyahu’s speech, which is expected to be focused on the threat of a nuclear Iran, will be “destructive to the fabric” of the U.S.-Israeli relationship.”..........
Guess that tells us pretty much what we already know, that odumbo and his ilk are Muslims, sympathetic to Iran’s cause to develop nuclear weaponry. Odumbo will most likely still be in jail when Iran builds and uses their nuke capability but uses it they will. I support Israel’s cause for concern and feel there is NO NEED to allow Iran such weaponry, like odumbo, they are dangerous when allowed to play with real toys.
I’m looking forward to this. It’s the first time a REAL leader has addressed a joint session of Congress in many, many moons. Now THAT’S historical!
We declare the protection of Psalm 91 over Netanyahu, his family, and the Israeli delegation that is traveling with him.

And all the people said ... Amen!
Bibi will lay out the facts of Obama’s total failure of foreign policy. This has the libs terrified as the media won’t be able to provide cover and a filter. The libs know Americans will listen and process the facts and more and more will come to understand that Obama is a failed President. Not even the airhead gals at Nat’l Security will be able to twist this to Obama’s favor.
Haile Selassie waited calmly for the hall to be cleared, and responded “majestically”[79] with a speech sometimes considered among the most stirring of the 20th century...
Let’s hope Bibi can follow
I have no doubt at all that he can.
I am concerned though, that Liberals will permit (encourage) an atmosphere SO inimical to Bibi, that his message will be de-railed or muted altogether.
I am worried about this.
I’d rather see Bibi in there than the vast majority of the congress critters.
Here's the next best thing ......
rre empty seats on floor - Many minister of the black miisters group from across the countey are going to the house and if the black caucus etc, leave their seats, the black ministers will fill them!!! - I wonder if that’s a gamble the black libTards want to take?
After all, their walkout is supposed to signify blacks against Netanyaho. If those seats get re-filled by black Americans - that argument is gone and they are left with their true reasons on display.
