The last time I saw Congress stand fast together was when they were opposing the FBI searching Rep. William Jefferson’s office. Despite Congress being split on their motives, collectively they are giving up their authority.

But is there anyone with any doubt whatsoever that a clean bill is exactly what will be passed in the House by next Friday?

If the House takes the Senate bill and then adds riders, then sends it back to the Senate, the vote to pass is 51 rather than 60, right?

DHS needs to be abolished.

All of its components were operating prior to 9/11 except for TSA

By the way, how is it that the 115 employees of the "Domestic Nuclear Detection Office" are not essential?
