One poor ugly soul posted his visual reaction to Twitter. Hes holding a parody drawing of the famous Obama Hope propaganda poster from 2008.
Except in this one, the student is holding a Thanks Michelle Obama sign in one hand and a fistful of vegetables in the other. Below it is the #thanksmichelleobama hashtag that has become synonymous with skimpy school lunches.

The peaceful revolt has started.
If the GOP was smart they would jump in on the side of the kids.
This must be the cultural shift Mooch was talking about the other day.
No, this is the revolt I have been predicting.
Ha haaaa!!! Coming on the heels of that black 12 year old who made that video lambasting Obola’s dictatorial way, it’s almost like the 1960s all over again except this time the young hooligans rebelling against authority aren’t a bunch of smelly hippies.
Those pics of school lunches are disgusting. Neither of my daughters ever have or had school supplied lunch. My wife always sent them off with tasty, fresh food. A Ding Dong, Twinkie or a Ring Ding for desert. Are kids not allowed to bring in a bag lunch? If so, seems to me that the parents of these kids should “get movin” and pack a lunch.
That poor little boy is so sad looking! Is that what a revolt looks like? I always thought they looked more like this:
Often it starts peaceful is what I am trying to say.
They should, but they won’t. Even at our small rural school most kids eat breakfast and lunch at school. Parents are just too busy.
It seems that bulk of what I do as a homeschooling mom is to plan, buy and prepare good food for my six kiddos. Most of the public school moms I know have far better things to do with their time.
I am just glad I was there in the days of square pizza.
Take all your french fries, put them on top of the pizza and roll it up like sushi.
That way we could carry it outside to the courtyard and check out the preppy girls.
Some schools don’t allow kids to bring their own lunch. Schools that do allow them to bring lunches usually have to inspect them to be sure it is healthy and meets their standards. And they take anything that doesn’t away from the kid.
Some only allow if they have a signed paper from a doctor.
I hope you're right!
And they take anything that doesnt away from the kid.”
...tragic and criminal.
