France is 10% muzzie? They’re finished as a nation and culture.
No shutdown has ever lasted and everyone gets backpay.
But you wouldnt know that from Michie Poo and Boner.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ad nauseum... did you hear Lindsey & McCain quotes over the weekend? I forget who played the clips. Either total ignorance of DHS or deliberately deceiving the public.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FACT: 84% of DHS employees are considered essential workers and are required by law to report for work..under any circumstances and at all times....period and regardless.
Well, that is better than caving.
83% of the DHS will still be working and I think they still get regular pay. It is the non essential employees that will have to wait for their pay but they will be sitting at home anyways. They will get their back pay.
Now is time for Boner to show something. Something like the characteristics of a leader who just won a big election. The same could be said about _itch over in the Senate.
All this makes me mad.
The DHS has just become a cancer on the country anyways. I wish they would close it down. We have a the DOD to do its job.
I read a story today that suggests that out military is barely able to defend the country due to soldiers being let go and lack of replenishing arms. That is a long way from fighting a two front war.
I hope so. I really look forward to the show Justified. The acting is just great. However, I don’t see it. I think sometimes these shows just need to come to an end, sadly.
I heard that they might do another “24” but with out Jack. Maybe new characters? It is just a rumor. They always kill off a lot of characters so I don’t see why not.
I actually torture myself and watch the Sunday talk shows. I think Grahamnesty and McQueeg are both, ignorant and liars. They just repeat what their staffers spew to them and then lie they did their own research.
Is the glass half empty, half full, or twice as large as it needs to be?
Do you remember “Jericho”? It lasted 2 seasons, but was a great series.
“both, ignorant and liars”
You are right-—a strong case can be made for both...at any given time...on any particular subject about which they speak.
If neither of them know/or refuse to declare/ the % of essential workers at the DHS, they are too incompetent or corrupt to serve in US govt.
Elections aren’t sufficient anymore. Regular competency exams should be a prerequisite for any elected office -— FED/state/local.
Suggest a pre-1960 8th grade civics final exam for starters.
.
Yeah, that was a good show. I watched it.
For the longest time I never watched many shows at all. A lot of shows in the 90’s and early 2000’s I missed out on. That changed when I binged the fist 5 season of “24” :) in 2006. I couldn’t stop watching. Now I can appreciate good shows and look forward to them.
I liked Spooks aka MI5 too. There is a movie that is going to be released in May, “The Greater Good”, based on the show.
Same here. All I did was work 12-15hrs/day, 7 days/wk, from 1989-2012, until I closed the Farm and retired. Those few series - 24, Justified, Jericho - and the Weather Channel were all I remember from those long years. No movies. Honest to Pete, I can’t remember the last movie I saw in a theater or one I rented. I didn’t and don’t miss TV, but now I watch it a little more. Never heard of Spooks; googling.
Spooks on Imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0160904/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
I was the same way. I didn’t have much time for shows. The shows now a days are so much more well produced.
I recommend you watch the movies “American Sniper” and “The Imitation Game” when you have a chance if you haven’t already.
I am actually watching “The Wire” currently along with Justified among others. They reissued the show and they look great. It is another good show :)
Goodnight all
Did you hear the last caller????
OMG this could be BIG!
Isn’t it funny how the libs WANTS Illegal Alien Women Barefoot and pregnant as a matter of policy???
When THEY claim that is what we want for the women in our country, which is a LIE.
In 1985, FCC Chairman Mark Fowler studied the Fairness Doctrine and the commission published a report acknowledging that the Fairness Doctrine violated freedom of speech and actually diminished public discussion of important issues. Two years later, in August 1987, the Federal Communications Commission, by a unanimous vote, decided to end the Fairness Doctrine, stating:
The intrusion of government into the content of programming ... actually inhibits the presentation of controversial issues of public importance to the detriment of the public and the degradation of the editorial prerogative of broadcast journalists.
Dennis Patrick, who was FCC chairman at the time, noted:
We seek to extend to the electronic press the same First Amendment guarantees that the print media have enjoyed since our countrys inception.
.. and you see why the liberals sorely miss those days.. the Fairness Doctrine . . . actually diminished public discussion of important issues.
Hi Carriage_Hill, Biggirl, can you PLEASE set up the Mark Levin Show Thread, and at least PING IT. Thank-you!
