Congress split over ways to face Islamic State
The Washington Post ^ | February 22, 2015 | Paul Kane

Congress returns to Washington this week after a 10-day break to confront the difficult business of how the United States should wage war against terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State.

The formal task is to write and approve an “authorization for the use of military force,” or AUMF, but the broader goal is to demonstrate to the world that there is unified, bipartisan support for U.S. military engagement against a new, more mystifying enemy than the ones the United States faced when Congress last approved similar resolutions, in 2001 and 2002.

So far, the only real agreement is that Congress needs to play a more forceful role in the debate over foreign affairs. The Obama administration has found itself caught in a position of sounding the alarm about potential terrorist attacks — as Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson did Sunday, highlighting intelligence suggesting the possibility of attacks on shopping malls — but offering a war resolution that includes limits on the scope of battle against the Islamic State.

Step 1: Pass a law that makes another Islamist run on the bank ineffective, so the system can work itself out from under the threats that have held it hostage since Sept of 2008. This is what is keeping “conservatives” from doing anything except what Obama’s puppet-masters (the Islamists and their allies, such as those Loretta Lynch protected).

Step 2: Close our border. NOW.

Step 3: Fire everybody in Obama’s regime - including the foreign enemy combatant in the White House himself - and replace them with people who have demonstrated over a lifetime that they can actually mean the oath of office, to protect and defend the US and her Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Half the Congress wants to import these people and give them giant piles of your money.

The other half just wants to import them.

Do ISIS and Alqueda fighters train somewhere? If so, bomb the training centers.

Does ISIS raise money selling oil? If so, bomb their refineries. If so, bomb the tankers picking up the oil they sell.

Do ISIS and Alqueada buy arms and ammo somewhere? If so, kill the suppliers.

When that is done, the rest can be handled by the JV team.

This is such a dilema. Obama arms and trains Al Qeada, ISIS and Al Nusra to overthrow Libya and Syria, and now Obama can’t control them, so he wants war powers act to kill the witnesses. Did I miss anything? Or did Obama just want to kill all the witnesses because he’s decided they might talk? Either way, Obama has witnesses, and they can’t be left alive.

So he needs the War Powers act

1. ISIS trained in Jordan and Kuwait at US/CIA terrorists training camps

Does ISIS raise money selling oil? Yes to Turkey and Europe

Does ISIS buy arms? Yes, the US and Saudi Arabia

So, the key to killing ISIS is to kill the CIA and the United States. Not that I’m being a butthole, but the Obama administration created this mess, and now Obama wants to kill all the witnesses.

Of course you have evidence of these CIA training camps that trained ISIS.

Let’s see, go against the first black president or do what is right...very tough decision and will not happen with this bunch. So, let’s wait until major things happen and we might make a decision - our Congress at work.

Jordan and Kuwait. It’s easy to find online. CIA started training them in 2011. over 20 different rebel factions to overthrow Assad. In September of 2013 all those rebel groups voted to become part of ISIS. Many of the leaders in ISIS today were trained by the CIA. It was 2 months later ISIS gain enough strength to break out of Syria and sweep into Iraq. By the way, Obama is asking for more money from congress to train “new” rebel groups in Syria. Congress is reluctant this time around, considering what happen with the last groups.

The formal task is to write and approve an “authorization for the use of military force,” or AUMF...

And that is the problem. The constitutionally appropriate response should be a Declaration of War. The fact we do not recognize the legitimacy of the "Islamic State" or its "Caliph" is no bar to Declaration of War. During Napoleon's Hundred Days, the powers of Europe did not recognize Napoleon's legitimacy as Emperor of France, but they declared war on him (not on France, on Napoleon and his adherents) anyway.

The declaration of war should be against Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, now styling himself "Caliph Ibrahim", and his supporters, adherents and successors, and all fighting on behalf of his organization, the so called al-Dawlah al-Islāmīyah fī al-ʻIrāq wa-al-Shām, now falsely renamed al-Dawlah al-Islāmīyah thereby vainly purporting to represent all Muslims.

(It has to be worded that way to keep our Muslim allies like the Jordanians, UAE and the like on-side and not be able to peddled by al-Baghdadi as a declaration of war on the entire ummah.)

Do you think the weapons and munitions going to ISIS are still coming from us or being funded by us?

Al Jazeera had a piece on it a couple of weeks ago. Said the arms are coming from Saudi Arabia, and bought from arms dealers within the US and Europe. And they flow through Turkey. Guess that’s why the campaign against ISIS is running so slow. And why ISIS is growing during the supposed campaign to stop them
